ORDINANCE NO. 64.-9
AN ORDINANCE approving and confirming the supplemental
assessments and eupplernental assessment roll as ordered and
provided for by Ordinance No, 653, approved November 6th, 1920,
of Local Improvement District No 51, created under Ordinance
No. 576, approved July llth, 1917, which said Ordinance 40.574
"Ordered and provided •for the improvement of Eighth Street,
from the center line of "C" Street to the East line of "I"
Street, and "I" Street through the North line of Sixteenth
Street to Fifth Street; thence Northwesterly over a portion
of Fifth Street across Block 129 to Fourth Street, WesIerly
over Fourth Street to a point near the Easterly line of Lot 12,
Block 140; thence Northeasterly across Block 140 "K" Street,
and Block 130, to a point on the North line of the Right -of -way
of the Seattle, Port Angeles and Weslrern Railroad, between Lots
4 and 5 of said Block 130; thence Easterly over Lots 5, 4, 3,
2_and 1, crossing "I" Street and Block 125 to the intersection
of Third Street and Third Street North; all in accordance with
Resolution No, 51 creating an enlarged district therefor, and
according to the plans and specifications prepared by the City
Engineer, filed with the City Clerk, and approved by the City
Council of the City of Port Angeles "; ordering the levy and

IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Port
Angeles, Washington;
Section 1. That the supplemental assessments and supple-
mental assessment roll as ordered and provided for by Ordinance
No. 653, approved November 6th, 1920, of Local Improvement
District No 51, created undgr Ordinance No. 576,-approved• July
11th, 1917, which said Ordinanceer"pi+dered and provided for the
improvement of Eighth Street, from the center line of "C"
Street to the East line of "I" Stree$, and "I" Street through
the North line of Sixteenth Street to Fifth Street; thence
Northwesterly over a portion of Fifth Street across Block 129
to Fourth Street, Westerly over Fourth Street to a point near
the Easterly line of Lot 12, Block 140; thence Northeasterly
across Block 140 "K" Street, and Block 130, to a point on the
North line of the Right -of -way of the Seattle, Port Angeles
and Western Railroad, between Lots 4 and 5 of said Block 130;
thence Easterly over lots 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1, crossing "I" Street
and Block 125 to the intersection of Third Street and Third
Street North; all in accordance with Resolution Not 51
creating an enlarged district therefor, and according to the
plans and specifications prepared by the City Engineer, filed
with the City Clerk, and approved by the City Council of the
City of Port Angeles, as said supplemental assessment roll now
stands, which was regularly heard and fully considered by the
City Council sitting as a board of equalization thereon on the
7th day of December, 1920, according to regular notice thereof
and according to law and the Ordinances of said City, and in
accordance with the findings and order of said board of equal-
ization at said meeting in said City, be and the same are hereby
approved and confirmed in all things.
Section 2, That each lot, tract or parcel of land shown
upon said supplemental assessment roll is hereby declared to

be specially benefitted by said improvement in at least the d
amount charged against the same and that'the supplemental
assessment appearing against the -same- is‘in_ proportion to the
several supplemental assessments appearing on said supplemental
assessment roll, and there is hereby levied and assessed
against each said lot, tract or parcel of 1 nd appearing on said
supplemental assessment roll, the amount charged and
assessed against the same
Section 3. That after the collection and payment of said
several supplemental assessments as they appear on said supple-
mental assessment roll, the same shall be credited to the
special fund heretofore duly created by Ordinance for said Local
Improvement District No. 51, for the uses and purposes provided
by law and Ordinances of the City of Port Angeles,
Section 4. Said supplemental assessments or any portion
of said supplemental assessments may be paid without iOterest
at any time within thirty

required by law to be given, and unless payment is made within

not so paid will become delinquent. Such delinquent supple-
mental assessments with penalty and interest will be enforced
and collected in the manner provided by law and the Ordinances
of the City of Port Angeles,
Section 5, That immediately upon taking effect of this
Ordinance said supplemental assessment roll shall be turned
over to the City Treasurer for the collection of said supple-
mental assessments, who will thereupon proceed to collect the
same according to law and the Ordinances of the City of Port
Angeles,
Section 6, This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect when it shall have been passed by the City Council,
signed by the Mayor, attested by the City Clerk, approved by
the City Attorney, and from and after five (5) days from its
publication once in the official newspaper of the City of Port
