AY ORDINANCE approving and confirming the assessments and assessment
roll in and for local Improvement District Apo. 95, under Ordinance No.
- 2
718, for the improvement of certain streets and alleys in the City of
Port Angeles, as follows: Fifth Street from the center line of C Street
to the center line of M. Street; the Alley between Fourth Street and
Fifth Street' f o r the center line of C ±Street to East margin of I Street;
said improvement to consist of clearing and grubbing the full width of
street and alley, surface grading a roadway on said street fifteen (i5)
feet on each side of the center line thereof, and on said alley for ten
(10) feet on each side of the center line thereof, graveling said street
• for seven (7) feet on each side of the center line thereof, and the said
.alley for five (5) feet on each side of the center line thereof; and such
other wort, as may be necessary in connection therewith to,properly carry
out the construction of the contemplated improvement, all in accordance
with reaps, plans and. specifications prepared by the City Engineer and
adopted by the City Commission and in accordance with local improvement
resolution no. 95; ordering the levy and collection of such assessments;
creating and establishing a special fund for said district; and ordering
that said assessments be paid into said special fund.
THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF FORT ANGET,RS DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the assessments and asser -nrmt roll for local im-
provement district No. 95, created by ordinance No. 718, approved June
28th, 1922, which said ordinance ordered and provided for the improvement
of certain streets . and alleys in the City of Port Angeles as follows:
Fifth Street from the center line of C Street to the center line of M
Street; the alley between Fourth Street and Fifth Street from the center
line of C Street to the East margin of I Street; said improvement to con-
sist of clearing and grubbing the full width of said street and alley,
surface grading a roadway on said street fifteen (15) on each side of the
center line thereof, and on said alley for ten (10) feet on each side of
the center line thereof, graveling said street for seven (7) feet on each
wide of the center line thereof, and the said alley for five (5) feet on
each side of the center line thereof, and such other work in connection
therewith as may be necessary to properly carry out the construction of
the contemplated improvement, all in accordance rith maps, pland and
specifications prepared by the City Engineer and adopted by the City
• Commission and in accordance with local improvement resolution 1o. 95,
created a local improvement district therefor, and provided for payment

for said improvement by special assessments upon the property in said
district payable by the method of "payment by bonds" as said assessment
roll now stands, as revised, changed, lowered, raised and modified by the
said city Co2nission sitting as a board of equalization thereon on the
lst. day of t'ovember, 1922, according to regular notice thereof and the
ordinances of said city, and in accordance with the findings and order
of said board then and there made, be and the same are hereby in all
respects approved and confirmed in all things.
Section 2. That each lot, tract and parcel of land shown upon said
assessment roll is hereby declared specially benefitted by said improve-
ment ire at least the amount charged against the same, and that the assess -
ment appearing against the same is in proportion to the several assess -
ments appearing upon said roll; and there is hereby levied and assessed
against each said lot, tract or parcel of land appearing on said roll the
amount actually on said roll charged and assessed against the same.
section 3. that there is herby col,ye(5 and established for said Local
Improvement District No. 95, a special fend to be known and designated as
;local Improvement Iistrict No. 95, for the uses and purposes provided by
law and the ordinances of said city, and into which special fund all such
assessments shall be paid when collected.
Section 4. Said assessments or any of them may be paid without inter-
est at any time - within• thirty. # # ## -(30)a,d.ays..from the,.date of_.the first
publication of the notice of the City Treasurer to pay the same as requir-
ed by law to be given, but unless payment be made within such'time, said
assessments, or any portion thereof, not so paid will become delinquent;
and such delinquent assessments with interest and penalty will be enforc-
ed and collected in the manner provided by law and the ordinances of the
said City of Port Angeles.

Section 5. That immediately upon the taking effect of this ordinance
said assessment roll shall be turned over to the City Treasurer for the '
collection thereof, who shall thereupon proceed to collect the same
according to law.
Section 6. This ordinance shall talce effect and be in full force
•after its passage and approval and from and after rive (5) days after its
lawful publi cation.
