AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 778, adopted April 22,
1925, entitled: "An ordinance relating to the municipal water supply
Isystem of the City of Port Angeles, Washington, regulating the use of
'water therefrom; providing for the sale and price of same; defining of-
fenses in relation thereto; providing penalties, and declaring an emer-
gency".

THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
Section I. That Ordinance No. 778 of the City of Port
Angeles, adopted April 22, 1925, entitled: "An ordinance relating to
the municipal water supply system of the City of Port Angeles, Washing-
ton, regulating the use of water therefrom; providing for the sale and
price of same; defining offenses in relation thereto; providing penal-
ties, and declaring an emergency ", be and the same is hereby amended
to add thereto the following section, which shall become Section 46 of
said Ordinance No. 778:
Section 46. Whenever there shall be in the Cityls water
system an amount of water in excess of that which can be used by the
regular subscribers to the City water system, and the said excess is
wasted or spilled from the spillway of the water system at the reservoir
by reason of the fact that the same cannot be conducted through the
system or used by the Cityts subscribers, the said excess supply shall
be known as dump or waste water, and the Commissioners of the City of
Port Angeles shall be and they are hereby authorized and empowered to
make contracts for the sale of such dump or waste water to any industry
using one million gallons of water per day or more, upon the best terms
and conditions which they may be able, and such terms and conditions
• shall be without reference to the schedules of water and prices set
forth in the said Ordinance No. 778.
Section II. This ordinance is declared to be urgent and
necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health
and.safety of the inhabitants and people of said City of Port Angeles,

and shall take effect and be in force immediately upon, and from and
after its passage, approval and lawful publication.
