An Ordinance declaring the existance of an emergency by reason of
0 the holding of a special election as ordered and provided for by
Ordinance No. 875 of the City of Port Angeles adopted July 3rd, 1929;
stating the facts constituting such emergency; stating the estimated
amount of money necessary to meet such emergency; authorizing the
issuance of emergency warrants against the Current Expense Fund against

the City of Port Angeles and declaring an emergency:
THE CITY C010iISSION OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section I. That Ordinance No. 875 of the City of Port Angeles
adopted July 3rd, 1929, .ordered and provided for the calling of a special
election to be held in the ,ity of Port Angeles in the several estab-
lished voting precincts therein on July 30th, 1929, for the purpose of
submitting to the qualified voters of said City for ratification or
rejection the plan or system in said ordinance specified and adopted
for the making of additions and 'betterments to, and extensions of,
the municipal water works system of said City and the issuance of
bonds as in said ordinance provided to provide funds to pay therefor_.
Sectionll. That in and by said Ordinance No. 875 it was found
and declared that the passage, adoption and approval of the said Ordinance
No. 875 was urgent.and necessary for the immediate preservation of public
peace, health and safety of the inhabitants and people of the City of
Port Angeles.
Section. III. That no money was appropriated, specified, authorized
or set aside by the City Commission at the time of the making of the
current annual budget for the purpose of paying the necessary cost
and expense for holding such election.
Section, IV. 12hat the estimated amount of ,money necessary to
defray;tle expenses'of said election and to tnet such emergency is the
sum of eight hundred and fifty dollars (3850.00).
Section V. That by reason of the facts hereinbefore set forth

in Sections 1,.11, III and IV, a public emergdricy'exists which could not
have been reasonably foreseen at the time of making the current budget
which public emergency is now declared to exist.
Section VI. That the L,ayor and City Clerk be and they are hereby
authorized to sign, execute and issue, emergency warrants drawn upon
the Current Expense Fund of the City of Port Angeles in an aggregate
amount not to exceed the sum of eight hundred fifty dollars W850,00)
for the purpose of defraying the expenses of the election-Provided
for in Ordinance 875 and of meeting the emergency herein declared to
exist.
Section`VII. That by reason of the premises and of the facts
hereinbefore stated this ordinance is declared t'o be urgent and
necessary for the immediate preservation of public peace, health and •

safety of the inhabitants and people of the City of Port Angeles and
shall take effect and be in force immediately upon and from and after
its passage, approval and lawful publication.

Passed third reading and adopted by the City Commission July
