ORDINANCE NO. 1 I S!
AN ORDINANCE vacating the alley in Block Four (4) of Cain's
Subdivision to the Townsite of Port Angeles running northerly from
Fourth Street to the alley running east and west in said block.
WHEREAS, there has been filed a petition praying for the
vacation of a certain alley hereinafter described, and it appears
that the owners of more than two- thirds of the property abutting
.upon said alley have joined in the petition, and due and legal
notice of the time and place of said hearing upon said petition
having been given. That the City Commission, after hearing on
said petition, having determined that said petition should be
granted, now, therefore,
THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF t'ORT ANGELES DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the following alley be and it is vacated,
ito wit:
That certain alley running northerly from Fourth Street
to the alley running east and west in Block Four (4) of
Cain's Subdivision to the Townsite of Port Angeles, all
of the lots abutting said alley being numbers, 14, 15,
16, 17 and 18, in said Block 4.
Section 2. The City of Port Angeles specifically reserves
the right to go in and upon the portions of the streets and alleys
herein vacated for the purpose of erecting utility poles, laying
sewers, or establishing any other public utilities which it may
determine necessary on said alley, with the right of ingress and
egress for the purpose of constructing, maintaining or removing
said facilities.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force thirty (30) days from and after its final passage, approval
and lawful publication.

Passed first reading by the City Commission this 23rd day
of April, 1947.
Passed second reading by the City Commission this 23rd day
of April, 1947.
Passed third reading and finally passed and adopted this
"3d day of April, 1947.
