Section 1. That the assessments and assessment roll of

Local Inprove'.er.t District No. 164 created by Ordinance No. 1306,

'approved and passed on the 21st day of T.:ay, 1953, which ordered
17
and provided for the improvement of the followin :. streets in the
18
City of Port An,eles by the layin, and construction therein of the
19
necessary storm sewers and the laying and construction of concrete
20
pavement and interal curbs along; the sine of said concrete pavement
21
'where required, to wit: Oak Street from the north lire of :;'ront
22
Street to the south line of Railroad Avenue; Laurel Street from a
23
,point one hundred (100) feet north of the north line of Front Street
24
to the south line of Railroad revenue; Lircoln Street from the north
25
line of Front Street to the Scut. line of Railroad 4ovenuc; Railroad
26
Avenue from the west line of Oak 'Street to a point one hundred fifty
27
(150) feet east of the east line of Lincoln Stre.:t, all in acccr_u,s

Section 2. That each lot, tract or parcel of land shown
upon said assessment roll is hereby declared to be especially
benefited by said improvement in at least the amount charged
against the sarre, and that the assessment appear'.n_ =.,,air.st
same is in proportion to the several assessments appearing on saint
12 assessment roll, an there is hereby levied and assessed against
13 each said lot, tract, or parcel of lard aprear:n. on said roll, the
14 amount actzally charged and assessed against the same.

Section 3. That there is hereby created and established
for sail Local Improvement District Do. 164 a special fund to be
known and desi;;nated as Local Improvement District rind Do. 164
for the uses and purposes provided by law and the ordinances of
19 tae City.
20 ..ection 4. That tie said assessment or any of them may be
21 paid ,vithout interest at any time within thirty (30) days from the
22 late of the first publication of the "ity Treasurer's notice to
23 pay th.o same as required by lacy to be liven, and all assessments
241 not pai,, within said thirty (30) day period shall thereafter be
25 Ipaid in_ ten (10) equal annual installments with interest thereon

at the rate of five (5) per cent per annum.
Section 5. Assessments or installments thereof, when

delinquent shall in addition to the interest bear a

rate of five (5) per cent for such delinquency;

i; Section 6. That immediately upon the taking effect of
2 this Ordinance said assessment roll shall be turned over to the
3■ City Treasurer for the collection thereof, who will thereupon
proceed to collect the same according to law.
Section 7. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
6i effect upon its passage by the City Council, signed by the Mayor,
