AN ORDINANCE of the City of Port Angeles, Washington
vacating Fourteenth Street from 'F" Street east-
erly to the westerly line of Lot 5 in Block 112
and the westerly line of Lot 16 in Block 397; ��
Thirteenth Street from the easterly line of F
Street thence easterly to the westerly line of
Lot 4 in Block 397 and the westerly line of
Lot 17 in Block369; "E" Street from the south-
erly line of the alley extending through Blocks
368 and 369 thence southerly to the northerly
line of. Fifteenth Street; the alley in Block
1;11; the alley in Block f.12 from the easterly
line of "E" Street to the westerly line of
Lots 5 and 16 in Block 142; the alley in Block
398; and the alley in Block 397 from the
easterly line of 'E" Street to the westerly
line of Lots 17 and 4 in Block 397, all within
the Townsite of Port Angeles, and reserving
to the City of Port Angeles the right to enter
upon said vacated streets for the purpose of
constructing or installing water lines, sewer
lines, electricity lines and telephone lines.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly and regularly filed
praying for the vacation of the streets and alleys hereinafter
described in this ordinance and notice of the time and place of
this hearing on said petition was posted in three of the most
public places in Port Angeles and a like notice in a conspicuous
place on that portion of the streets and alleys sought to be
vacated; and,
WHEREAS, a hearing was held on Thursday the 18th day of
July 1957 at the Council Chambers of the City Council and no ob-
jections to the vacation having been made and the council finding
that the portions of the streets and alleys sought are not needed
for public purposes and will be needed by the petitioner for school
property and said petition being signed by all owners of the
property abutting upon said streets and alleys, and that due and
legal notice having been given for the time and place of said
hearing; and
WHEREAS, said petition for vacation having been sub-
mitted t o the Planning Commission of the City of Port Angeles and
the vacation of the portion of the streets and alleys sought to
be vacated having been approved by said Planning Commission;
now, therefore,

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
Port Angeles as follows:
Section 1: That the following streets and alleys be
and the same are hereby vacated:
Fourteenth Street from "F" Street easterly
to the westerly line of Lot 5 in Block 412
and the westerly line of Lot 16 in Block
397; Thirteenth Street from the easterly
line of "F" Street thence easterly to the
westerly line of Lot 4 in Block 397 and
the westerly line of Lot 17 in Block 369;
"E" Street from the southerly line of the
alley extending through Blocks 368 and
369 thence southerly to the northerly
line of Fifteenth Street; the alley in
Block 411; the alley in Block 412 from
the easterly line of "E" Street to the
westerly line of Lots 5 and 16 in Block
)42; the alley in Block 398; and the alley
in Block 397 from the easterly line of
"TE" Street to the westerly line of Lots
17 and 4 in Block 397, all within the
Townsite of Port Angeles, and reserving
to the City of Port Angeles the right to
enter upon said vacated streets for the
purpose of constructing or installing
water lines, sewer lines, electricity
lines and telephone lines.
Section 2: That said vacation is hereby granted by
the City Council and accepted by the petitioner under express
provision that there is reserved to the City of Port Angeles the
right and easement to enter upon said vacated portions of said
streets and alleys for the construction, repairs and maintenance
of sewer lines, water lines, e]e ctricify lines and telephone lines,
together with the right to operate, maintain, repair and replace
such utilities.
Section 3: This ordinate shall take effect five days
after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
