ORDINANCE NO. /5,z
AN ORDINANCE, making the issuance of certain commercial
instruments disorderly conduct and prescribing a
penalty therefor.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PORT ANGELES:
Section 1. Any person who, with intent to defraud, shall
make, draw, utter or deliver any check, draft or order for the
payment of.money upon any bank or other depository, knowing at
the time of such drawing or delivery that he has no checking
account with
account with
the issuance
said bank or depository, or who closes his checking
said bank or depository within seven (7) days after
of said check, draft, or order so that the check,
draft or order is not honored for payment shall be guilty of dis-
orderly conduct.
Section 2. The uttering or delivery of such a
draft or order to another person, firm or
funds or credit to meet the same shall be
of an intent to defraud.
Section 3. Any person violating

without such
evidence
any of the provisions of
this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon convic-
tion thereof, shall be fined in any sum not exceeding One Hundred
Dollars ($100.00), or imprisoned in the City Jail for a term of
not exceeding thirty (30) days, or may be both so fined and im-
prisoned within the sound discretion of the Police Judge.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be
. in force from and after its passage and legal publication.
