AN ORDINANCE of the City of Port Angeles vacating
an alley in Block 201, Townsite of Port Angeles.
WHEREAS, a petition is on file signed by the owners of
Lots 1 through 18 of Block 201, Townsite of Port Angeles, for a
vacation of the alley abutting said property; and
WHEREAS, a hearing has been held in accordance with law on
the question of vacating of said alley; now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COTJNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
ANGELES as follows:
Section 1. The alley in Block 201 of the Townsite of
Port Angeles, abutting on Lots 1 through 18, is hereby vacated.
Section 2. The City of Port Angeles reserves an easement
in said alley for the construction, repair and maintenance of
public utilities and services. Any additional cost to the City
for construction, repair and maintenance of utilities brought
about by the use of the surface of the vacated alley by the owner
thereof shall be paid by said owner to the City and the owner
shall further reimburse the City for any cost involved in relocati
utilities brought about by such use.
Section 3. This ordinance shall not become effective
until the owners of property abutting said alley have paid the
City $1,500.00 being one-half of the appraised value of the
property vacated.

PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Angeles and
approved by its Mayor at a regular: meeting of the Council held
on the 24th day of July, 1969.

Ordinance No 1659 of the City of Port Angeles - vacating
an alley in Block 201, Townsite of Port Angeles - will be
published in the City;s legal newspaper (The Peninsula
Herald) on September 4, 1969.
