AN ORDINANCE vacating portions of Sixth
Street and Seventh Street.
WHEREAS, a petition is on file requesting the vacation
of portions of Sixth Street and Seventh Street in the City of
Port Angeles; and
WHEREAS, a hearing has been held in accordance with law
on the question of vacating said portions of Sixth Street and
Seventh Street; now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
ANGELES that the following described portions of Sixth Street and
Seventh Street in the City of Port Angeles are hereby vacated:
Commencing at the centerline intersection of
Lincoln Street and Sixth Street; thence S. 33°
13' 52" W. 30.40 feet; thence S. 56° 33' 36" E.
a distance of 35.00 feet to a point on the
Easterly boundary line of Lincoln Street and
the True Point of Beginning; thence S. 56° 33'
36" E. 449.96 feet to the Westerly boundary line of
Chase Street; thence S. 33° 13' 52" W. 2.46 feet;
thence N. 56° 48' 50" W. 449.96 feet to the Easterly
boundary line of Lincoln Street; thence N. 33° 13'
52" E. a distance of 4.45 feet to the True Point of
Beginning.
And that portion of Seventh Street, if any, which
may, in the future, be found to be lying within
the area presently designated by survey as the
location of the block between Sixth and Seventh
Streets, Chase and Lincoln Streets. The survey
referred to is that by Darrell Petersen and
signed by Darrell Petersen, John U. Wright and
John B. Warder in July 1969. A copy of said survey
is attached hereto and by reference made a part
hereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Angeles
and approved by its Mayor at a regular meeting of the Council held
on the A,QJday of
726,9 uh , 1970.
