ORDINANCE NO. / 767
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Port Angeles amending Section
11.48 of the Code of the City of Port Angeles with re-
ference to billings for electric current, and repeal-
ing Ordinance No. 1562.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES,
that:
Section 1. Section 11.48 of the Code of the City of Port Angeles
is amended to read as follows:
Sec. 11.48 Accounts generally.
It shall be the duty of the Finance Director to keep account
of electric current and to enter in all such accounts all charges and
penalties. All charges against consumers of electric current tshall be
due and payable without notice to the consumer on or before twenty days
after the day statements are sent out to customers. The Finance Director
shall establish a monthly system of billing. Should any such accounts
not be paid as required, they shall be delinquent. Should a delinquent
account not be paid within ten days after it becomes delinquent, the
Finance Director shall immediately cause the electricity to be cut off
from the premises, and it shall not again be turned on until all arrears
are paid, together with a fee of Three Dollars for the turning on of the
current between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 4:30 P.M. on regular City
work days. This fee shall be Ten Dollars for such turn on at any other
time.
Section 2. Ordinance No. 1562 is hereby repealed.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Angeles and ap-
proved by its Mayor at a regular meeting of the Council held on the 21st
day.Of December, 1971.
