ORDINANCE NO. /0 7
AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 1709, the Zoning Ordinance of
the City of Port Angeles by rezoning part of Block 2 of
Cooper's Addition and a portion of vacated Leiser's Addition
at the south end of Pine Hill from RS -7 and RS -9 Residential
zone, to RMF'Residential Multi- Family and PBP Public zone.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Port Angeles has
held a public hearing on the matter and recommended to the City Council that
the portion of Pine Hill hereinafter described be rezoned from RS -7, RS -9
Residential to RMF Residential and PBP Public; and
WHEREAS, the City Council after a public hearing finds that said
rezone would be in the best interests of the City and of its citizens;
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Port Angeles do
ordain as follows:
Section 1. The following portion of the City of Port Angeles:
That portion of Block 2, vacated Cooper's Addition
to the Townsite of Port Angeles, as per plat recorded
in Volume 2 of Plats, page 8 lying easterly of the
top of the bank on the east side of Tumwater Canyon; and
That portion of Block 3, vacated Cooper's Addition
to the Townsite of Port Angeles as per plat recorded
in Volume 2 of Plats, page 8, (being a portion of
vacated Leiser's Addition as recorded in Volume 3
of Plats, page 1), EXCEPT right of way conveyed to
State of Washington by Deed dated May 20, 1929,
recorded under Auditor's File No. 128992 lying
easterly of the top of the bank on the east side of
Tumwater Canyon; and
All the grantors interest in Blocks 2 and 3, Fogarty
and Dolan's Addition to Port Angeles, as recorded
in Volume 2 of Plats, page 18, TOGETHER WITH vacated
streets and alleys attaching thereto by operation of
law, as described below:
Beginning at a point in the northwest corner of Block
2 said addition, thence south 73 °44'31" east 62.65 feet;
thence south 17 °45'27" W 208.37 feet; thence S 69 °13'10"
E 75.93 feet; thence N 17 °45'27" E 2.39 feet; thence S
68 °06'12" E 122.70 feet; thence S 58 °11'19" E 40.97
feet; thence S 3 °04'27" W 112.66 feet; thence N 88 °32'13"
W 231.66 feet; thence N 2 °52'43" E 477 feet to the point
of beginning
is hereby rezoned from RS -7 (Residential Single Family 7000 sq. ft.) and
RS -9 (Residential Single Family 9000 sq. ft.) to RMF (Residential Multi Family)

and the Zoning Ordinance map on file with the City Clerk and with the
Clallam County Auditor is hereby amended to show said rezone.
Section 2. The following portion of the City of Port Angeles
Beginning at the northeast corner of Block 2, Cooper's
Addition to the Townsite of Port Angeles, per plat
recorded in Volume 2 of Plats, Page 8 records of
Clallam County, Washington. Then North 73028'28"
west along the south right of 'way line of Lauridsen
Boulevard, 80 feet more or less to the top of bank on
the east side of Tumwater Canyon the true point of
beginning. Thence southwesterly along said top of bank
on a meandering line to the north right of way line of
Highway 101. Thence westerly along said Highway 101
right of way to the west line of Block 2, Cooper's
Addition produced southerly, thence north 2032'47" to
the south right of way line of Lauridsen Boulevard,
thence easterly along the south right of way line of
Lauridsen Boulevard to the point of beginning, all in
Section 9, Township 30 North, Range 6 W, WM. situated
in Clallam County, Washington.
is hereby rezoned from RS -9 (Residential Single Family 9000 sq. ft.) to PBP
(Public Buildings and Parks) and the zoning ordinance map on file with the
City Clerk and with the Clallam County Auditor is hereby amended to show
said rezone.
Section 3. The Clerk is hereby directed to attach a copy of this
Ordinance to the Zoning Map and to file with the Clallam County Auditor a
certified copy of this Ordinance to be attached to the Zoning Map on file
with the County Auditor.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Angeles and approved
by its Mayor at a regular meeting of the Council held on the 2nd day of
March, 1977.
