HomeMy WebLinkAbout20177p 0004 44. .2t 7 ORDINANCE NO. a0 /7 AN ORDINANCE of the City of Port Angeles establishing a Fire Zone, adopting a map, amending Section 14.24.010 and 14.24.020 and repealing Sections 14.24. 030, 14.24.040 and 14.24.050 of the Code of the City of Port Angeles. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES as follows: Section 1. Section 14.24.010 of the Code of the City of Port Angeles is amended to read as follows: "The entire City is hereby declared to be and is hereby established as a Fire District, which Fire District shall •e divided into three zones, which shall be known and designated as Fire Zone Nos. 1, 2 and 3, and which include the portions of he City as follows: (a) Fire Zone No. 1. The fire zone designated as Fire Zone No. 1 is hereby established in the area of the City sounded and described as follows: Beginning at the point where he North margin of Second Street and the East margin of Valley treet intersect; thence Easterly along the North margin of econd Street to the point where it intercepts the toe of the bluff; thence Northeasterly along the toe of said bluff to the North mar- gin of the alley between First and Second Streets; thence Easterly along said North margin of the lst /2nd alley to a point one hundred feet West of the West margin of Lincoln Street; thence Southerly along a line one hundred feet West of and parallel to West margin of Lincoln Street, to the intersection with the North margin of Second Street; thence Easterly along the North margin of Second Street to a point 150 feet East of the East margin of Lincoln Street; thence Northerly along a line 150 feet East of and parallel to the East margin of Lincoln Street to its intersection with South �,. argin of Railroad Avenue; thence Westerly along the South margin f Railroad Avenue and the Southerly line of the Chicago, Milwaukee, t. Paul and Pacific Railroad right of way to its intersection ith the East margin of Oak Street; thence Southerly along the ast margin of Oak Street to the South margin of Front Street, hence Westerly along the South margin of Front Street and the outherly margin continued along Marine Drive to its intersection ith the East margin of Valley Street; thence Southerly along the East margin of Valley Street to the North margin of Second treet, the point of beginning. (b) Fire Zone No. 2. The fire zone designated s Fire Zone No. 2 is hereby established to be the area included 'n the following description: "C" Street area: That area included within the following erimeter: Beginning at the point where the South margin of the lley between 7th and 8th Streets intersects the West margin of "B" Street; thence Westerly along the South margin of the 7th /8th lley to a point 150 feet West of the West margin of "C" Street; hence Southerly along a line 150 feet West of and parallel to he West margin of "C" Street to the South margin of the 15th /16th lley; thence Easterly a distance of 50 feet; thence Southerly long a line 100 feet West of and parallel to the West margin of "C" Street to a point on the North margin of 16th Street; thence esterly along said North margin of 16th Street to a point 150 feet West of the West margin of "C ".Street; thence Southerly along line 150 feet West of and parallel to the West margin of "C" treet to the North margin of Lauridsen Boulevard; thence Easterly long the North margin of Lauridsen Boulevard to a point 150 feet fast of the East margin of "C" Street; thence Northerly along a line 150 feet East of and parallel to the East margin of "C" Street to a point on the North margin of the alley between 9th Street and 10th Streets; thence Easterly along the North margin of the alley •etween 9th Street and 10th Street to the West margin of "B" Street; thence Northerly along the West margin of "B" Street to the point of beginning. Pine Hill area: That area included within the following •escribed perimeter: Beginning at a point where the South margin of the alley between 7th Street and 8th Street intersects the top of bluff on the East side of Tumwater Canyon; thence Southerly long said top of bluff line to the point where it intersects the orth margin of the alley between 8th Street and 9th Street; thence easterly along said North margin of the 8th /9th alley to the point here it intersects the top of bluff line on the West side of alley Canyon; thence Northerly along said top of bluff line to he point where it intercepts the South margin of the alley between 7th Street and 8th Street; thence Westerly along said South margin •f the 7th /8th alley to the point of beginning. (c) Fire Zone No. 3. All that area within the orporate limits of the City of Port Angeles not specifically ncluded in either Fire Zone No. 1 or Fire Zone No. 2. `'Se'tibn 2. Section 14.24.050 of the Code of the City of ?ort Angeles is amended to read as follows: "A map of the City outlining and designating the areas listed as Fire Zone Nos. 1, 2 and 3 has been prepared and is now on file with the City Clerk, designated as a "Fire Zone lap ", which map is identified by the approving signatures of the ayor and City Clerk and dated /7 ,1979, which map s hereby adopted as part of this chapter, together with all otations, references, symbols and legends shown thereon. This chapter and each of its terms should be read and interpreted in he light of such map. Section 3. Sections 14.24.030, 114.2 1.0140 and 14.2 4.050 f the Code of the City of Port Angeles are hereby repealed. Lincoln School Site - -- changed from 3rd to 2nd to conform with adjoining land and probable change in use. Plaza Area & east along the south side of 101 to extreme., east city limits - -- changed from 3rd to 2nd, that area fell into 3rd when annexed South half of blocks fronting on East Second between Vine & Chambers - -- changed from 3rd to 2nd to conform with adjoining land and change in use of land Former Zone 1, east of Lincoln fronting on Front and First Streets - -- changed from 1st to 2nd except for first 150' on the East side of Lincoln Street between Railroad and Second Street Port Property, former Robinson's Foods, Hartnagel Building Supply & National Plywood-- - Changed the complete block from 1st to 3rd to accomodate most probable future use.
