RE: Amendment to Electric Rate Ordinance
ML A recent audit of service charges discovered an error in rate code
III -A of the recently adopted electric rate ordinance (the discrepancy
was actually found by a customer during a compliance check).
The first block ofresidential rate code III -A presently reads as follows:
"501 to 1000 KWH
It should read:
"501 to 1500 kwh
$0.0102 per kwh"
$0.0102 per kwh"
Customers on Rate III A, using in excess of 1000 kilowatt hours per
month have been overcharged about $0.50 per month since implementation
of the Ordinance (Jan. 20, 1980).
The attached ordinance amendment corrects this error.
A credit for the excess charges (about $1.50 per customer) will be
processed this month.
