TO: City Council
FROM: Planning Departme
PE: Bihler Rezone - RZ- 83(1)2
Wednesday, January 12, 1983, the Planning Commission unanimously
recommended that the City Council approve the rezone request of
David Bihler to rezone 7,000 square feet from RS -7 (Residential
Single- Family) to OC (Office Commercial) , citing the following
findings of fact:
1. The rezone: implements the policy of concentrating
specialized city -wide medical services functionally near the
hospital.
2. The rezone will contribute to the clustering of commercial
activity in conformance with Commercial Policy No. 2.
3. The rezone will achieve Land Use Objective No. 2 by leading
to the grouping of similar and functionally related land
uses.
4. Achievement of the Comprehensive Plan Policies and
Objectives is in the interests of the community and general
public.
A copy of the Department Report is attached for easy reference.
(If the Council concurs with the Planning Commission, it could
adopt the attached Ordinance and cite the Planning Commission's
findings of fact as its reasons in the motion.)
