AN ORDINANCE of the City of Port Angeles
reclassifying property bounded by Chambers
Street on the east, the Georgiana /Front
Street alley on the south, two lots west
of Race Street on the west, Caroline Street
on the north, and the Columbia /Caroline
alley on the northeast, from RS -7 to OC.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Port
Angeles has held a public hearing and recorded its recommendation
to the City Council in the Planning Commission Minutes of August
10, 1983; and
WHEREAS, the requirements of the State Environmental
Policy Act have been met; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, after a public hearing,
finds that said rezone would be in the best interests of the City
and of its citizens and in keeping with the Comprehensive Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
ANGELES as follows:
Section 2. The Official Zoning Map, Ordinance No.
2158, and Ordinance No. 1709 are hereby amended to change the
zoning of the following described property from RS -7, Single -
Family Residential, to OC, Office Commercial:
The east half of Lot 14, Lots 15 -18, Block 4, PSCC; the
south half of Block 2 and the north half of Block 3,
Hart & Cook Subdivision; the north half of Block 4 and
the north half of Block 3, Dyke Land Co.; the south
half of Perkins Subdivision to the Townsite of Port
Angeles; Lots 1 and 2, Block 38, and Lots 1, 2, 17 and
18, Block 37, Norman R. Smith's Subdivision; all
situated in the Townsite of Port Angeles, Clallam
County, Washington.
Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to file a
certified copy of this Ordinance with the Clallam County Auditor.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Angeles
at a regular meeting of said Council held on the 6th day of
September, 1983.
