AN ORDINANCE of the City of Port Angeles
rezoning property east of the Tumwater
Truck Route from RS -9, Single - Family
Residential, to LI, Light Industrial,
and PBP, Public Buildings and Parks.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Port
Angeles has held a public hearing and recorded its recommendation
to the City Council in the Planning Commission minutes of April
11, 1990; and
WHEREAS, the requirements of the State Environmental
Policy Act (Chapter 43.21C RCW) have been met; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, after a public hearing,
finds that said rezone would be consistent with the changes in
circumstances since the area was originally zoned upon
annexation, would be in the best interests of the City and of its
citizens, and would be consistent with the Comprehensive Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
ANGELES as follows:
Section 1. The Official Zoning Map (Ordinance No.
2158) and Ordinance No. 1709 are hereby amended to change the
zoning of the following described property from RS -9, Single -
Family Residential, to PBP, Public Buildings and Parks:
That portion of the property described in a Survey
recorded May 1, 1987, in Volume 12 of Surveys, page
124, under Auditor's File No. 590635, being a portion
of Blocks 1 and 4 of Cooper's Addition to Port Angeles,
recorded in Volume 2 of Plats, page 8, records of
Clallam County, Washington, all in Section 9, Township
30 North, Range 6 West, W.M. lying southeasterly of the
following described line, which commences at the
southwest corner of this survey; thence south 85 °30'27"
east along the southerly line of said parcel recorded
in volume 12 of surveys, page 124, a distance of 45.40
feet to the true point of beginning of this line
description; thence north 40 °24'43" east, a distance of
53.35 feet; thence north 34 °24'16" east, a distance of
51.40 feet; thence north 08 °08'32" east, a distance of
48.73 feet; thence north 52 °12'28" east, a distance of
65.02 feet; thence north 64 °12'36" east, a distance of
48.70 feet; thence north 77 °13'07" east, a distance of

79.78 feet; thence south 71 °30'08" east, a distance of
90.67 feet; thence north 00 °33'18" west, a distance of
130.42 feet; thence north 39°23'54" east, a distance of

this line description, from which point the northeast
corner of said parcel bears north 02 °32'47" east, a
distance of 46.12 feet.
Excepting therefrom that portion southerly of a line
parallel to and 155.00 feet south of the north line of
said parcel.

That portion of the property described in a Survey
recorded May 1, 1987, in Volume 12 of Surveys, page
124, under Auditor's File No. 590635, being a portion
of Blocks 1 and 4 of Cooper's Addition to Port Angeles,
recorded in Volume 2 of Plats, page 8, records of
Clallam County, Washington, all in Section 9, Township
30 North, Range 6 West, W.M. lying within the following
described area: Commencing at the northeast corner of
the parcel shown on map recorded May 1, 1987, in Volume
12 of surveys, page 124, under Auditor's file number
590635, being a portion of Blocks 1 and 4 of Cooper's
Addition to Port Angeles, recorded in Volume 2 of
plats, Page 8, records of Clallam County, Washington,
all in Section 9, Township 30 North, Range 6 West,
W.M.; Thence north 73 °28'28" west along the north line
of said parcel a distance of 82.65 feet to the true
point of beginning; thence south 38 °34'14" west, a
distance of 95.56 feet; thence south 50 °12'51" west, a
distance of 71.59 feet; thence south 87 °58'37" west, a
distance of 91.23 feet; thence south 74 °11'07" west, a
distance of 17.21 feet; thence south 71 °10'01" west, a
distance of 27.58 feet; thence south 84 °50'58" west, a

Section 2. The Official Zoning Map (Ordinance No.
2158) and Ordinance No. 1709 are hereby amended to change the

zoning of the following described property from RS -9, Single -
Family Residential, to LI, Light Industrial:
That portion of the property described in a Survey
recorded May 1, 1987, in Volume 12 of Surveys, Page
124, under Auditor's File No. 590635, being a portion
of Blocks 1 and 4 of Cooper's Addition to Port Angeles,
recorded in Volume 2 of Plats, Page 8, records of
Clallam County, Washington, all in Section 9, Township
30 North, Range 6 West W.M.
EXCEPT
That portion of the property described in a Survey
recorded May 1, 1987, in Volume 12 of Surveys, page
124, under Auditor's File No. 590635, being a portion
of Blocks 1 and 4 of Cooper's Addition to Port Angeles,
recorded in Volume 2 of Plats, page 8, records of
Clallam County, Washington, all in Section 9, Township
30 North, Range 6 West, W.M. lying southeasterly of the
following described line, which commences at the

a certified copy of this Ordinance with the Clallam County
Auditor.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Angeles
at a regular meeting of said Council held on the 3rd day of July,
1990.
