AN ORDINANCE of the City of Port Angeles revising the Budget for the
fiscal biennium ending December 31, 1992, establishing wages for
1992, and amending Section 2 of Ordinance 2620.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES DOES ORDAIN as
follows:
Section 1. Section 2 of Ordinance 2620 is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 2. The Biennial Budget of the City of Port Angeles for the years 1991 and
1992, as prepared by the City Manager for said City, and finally amended, fixed, and determined
as to every item by the City Council after a public hearing having been held on Tuesday,
December 3, 1991, and notice of said hearing having been given and published in the manner
provided by law, is hereby adopted, approved and confirmed.
Section 3. The following is a summary of the totals of appropriations for each
separate fund and the aggregate total for all such funds combined.

Section 4. In accordance with the Budget referred to in Section 2 above, effective
January 1, 1992, through December 31, 1992, salaries and wages for employees represented by
IAFF #656, AFSCME #1619, Teamsters #589, Administrative /Management, and non - represented
Pool employees shall be increased equal to 90% of the Seattle Consumer Price Index, January -
January W- index. The increase shall be no less than 2 %, nor exceed 6 %. Effective April 1, 1992,

through March 31, 1993, the salary schedule for IBEW #997 shall be increased using the same
CPI formula above.
In the event the salary increase above exceeds the 5.5% allocated in the 1992 budget,
this ordinance shall be brought before the City Council for amendment. Should the cost of living
increase be less than the budgeted 5.5 %, the remaining funds shall be transferred to the Self -
Insurance Fund.
The above salaries and wages shall be paid in bi- weekly installments per accounting
procedures established by the City of Port Angeles, and shall be paid within five (5) working days
after the end of the payroll period, or as soon thereafter, per procedures established by the City
of Port Angeles.
Section 5. The Budget referred to in Section 2 above is on file in the office of the
City Clerk at City Hall, 321 East Fifth Street, in Port Angeles, Washington, and is adopted by
reference.
Section 6. The City Clerk is hereby directed to transmit a complete copy of the final
Budget as adopted by this Ordinance, to the Division of Municipal Corporations in the Office of
the State Auditor and to the Association of Washington Cities.
Section 7. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after its passage, approval,
and publication as provided by law.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Angeles at a regular meeting of said
Council held on the 17th day of December, 1991.

This Ordinance of the City of Port Angeles revises the Budget for the fiscal
biennium ending December 31, 1992, establishes wages for 1992, and amends
Section 2 of Ordinance 2620.
The full text of the Ordinance is available at City Hall in the City Clerk's office or will be
mailed upon request. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The Ordinance will take effect five (5) days after publication of this summary.
