AN ORDINANCE of the City of Port Angeles
amending solid waste rates and amending
Ordinance No. 2317, as amended, and Chapter
13.56 of the Port Angeles Municipal Code.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES DOES
ORDAIN as follows:
Section 1. Section 4 of Ordinance No. 2317, as most
recently amended by Section 2 of Ordinance No. 2784, and
Sections 13.56.020 and 13.56.030 of the Port Angeles Municipal
Code are each amended to read as follows:
13.56.020 Rate - Commercial and Outside City.
A. All GIty Landfill users shall be charged and
shall pay the following rates for dumping refuse at the Sanitary
Landfill site (except as set forth herein):
Rate
$76.80 per ton with a $2.00 minimum charge.
B. All County Landfill users shall bc chargcd and
shall pay thc following rates for dumping refuse at the Sanitary
Landfill sitc (except as sct forth herein):
Ratc
$84.00 per ton with a $2.00 minimum charge.
� B. In addition to the fees established by
subsections A and —B of this Section, uncovered loads shall be
charged an additional $5 fee.
DEC. Refuse requiring special handling, including but
not limited to asbestos and low level radioactive materials,
shall be charged $190 per ton; provided that the minimum charge
for refuse requiring special handling shall be $190. Special
handling includes manifesting, immediate burial, hand unloading
and /or placement in the disposal pit by Landfill crews.
• D. Landfill users' clean yard waste, as determined
by the Landfill attendant, that may be converted to compost will
not be charged a fee.
• E. The Director may waive the Landfill fee for
disposal of refuse and litter which is collected and disposed of
as a part of a City- sponsored beautification or clean -up
program.
--F. Recyclable materials being recycled at the
Landfill will not be charged a fee.
13.56.030 Rate - Special Items.
• All GIty users of the Sanitary Landfill site
shall be charged and shall pay the following rates for dumping
the following certain types of refuse:

B. All County users of thc Sanitary Landfill site

Section 2. This Ordinance shall be effective the
1st day of April , 1994.

Ordinance No. 2786
This Ordinance of the City of Port Angeles establishes a position classification, benefit
and pay plan for management, administrative, technical, and confidential personnel, and
establishes a pay plan for employees working at the City Pool and temporary recreation
positions, for the period, January 1, 1994 to December 31, 1994, and provides for the
payment thereof.
Ordinance No. 2788
This Ordinance of the City of Port Angeles revises the licensing requirements for taxicab
and for -hire vehicle business operators and drivers and amends Ordinance 2050 and
Chapter 5.36 of the Port Angeles Municipal Code.
Ordinance No. 2789
This Ordinance of the City of Port Angeles revises the budget for the fiscal year ending
December 31, 1993, establishes wages for 1994, revises certain taxes and fees for 1994,
and amends Ordinance 2725.
Ordinance No. 2790
This Ordinance of the City of Port Angeles amends solid waste rates effective April 1, 1994, by
establishing a singular rate for all landfill users dumping refuse at the sanitary landfill site, and
amends Ordinance No. 2317, as amended, and Chapter 13.56 of the Port Angeles Municipal
Code.
The full texts of the Ordinances are available at City Hall in the City Clerk's office or will be mailed
upon request. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
These Ordinances shall take effect five days after the date of publication of these summaries.
