AN ORDINANCE of the City of Port Angeles,
Washington, amending Ordinance 1709, as amended,
and adding Section 17.94.155 to the Port Angeles
Municipal Code to regulate the parking of
commercial vehicles in residential zones.
Whereas, the City Council of the City of Port Angeles has
held a public hearing and reviewed the recommendation of the
Planning Commission on a proposed amendment to the City's zoning
regulations concerning the regulation of the parking of commercial
vehicles on the public streets in residential zones, which recom-
mendation has been forwarded to the City Council in the Planning
Commission minutes of March 22 , 1995; and
Whereas, the City Council has determined that the proposed
amendment is in the public interest and has adopted findings and
conclusions;
Now, Therefore, the City Council of the City of Port
Angeles does hereby ordain as follows:
Section 1. Ordinance 1709, as amended, and Chapter 17.94
of the Port Angeles Municipal Code are hereby amended by adding
PAMC 17.94.155 to read as follows:
17.94.155 - Use of Residential Streets. Subject to
any other regulation of the use of streets under this Code, no
owner or occupant of land abutting a public street, which land or
street is in a residential zone or is the boundary of a residential
zone, may use such street for the habitual or overnight parking or
storage of commercial motor vehicles or trailers. Excepted from
this prohibition is the parking on the street of one commercially
used vehicle which is driven to and from the work place by the
owner or occupant of the dwelling unit.
Section 2 - Severability. If any provision of this
Ordinance, or its application to any person or circumstances, is
held invalid, the remainder of the Ordinance, or application of the
provisions of the Ordinance to other persons or circumstances, is
not affected.
Section 3-- Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take
effect five days after publication.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Angeles at
a regular meeting of said Council held on the 4th day of April ,
1995.

This Ordinance of the City of Port Angeles amends Ordinance 1709, as amended,
and adds Section 17.94.155 to the Port Angeles Municipal Code to regulate the

Ordinance No. 2863
This Ordinance of the City of Port Angeles amends Ordinance No. 1709, as
amended, adding Sections 17.96.045 and 17.08.130(C) to the Port Angeles
Municipal Code relating to zoning lot covenants, and amends Section 17.22.200
relating to setback requirements in the CSD, Community Shopping District.
The full texts of the Ordinances are available at City Hall in the City Clerk's office or will be
mailed upon request. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
These Ordinances shall take effect five days after the date of publication of these summaries.
