AN ORDINANCE of the City of Port Angeles,
Washington, establishing a special landfill user
rate for certain charitable organizations and
amending Ordinance 2317 as amended and Chapter
13.56 of the Port Angeles Municipal Code.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES DOES HEREBY
ORDAIN as follows:
Section 1. Ordinance 2317 as amended and Chapter 13.56 of
the Port Angeles Municipal Code are hereby amended by adding a new
section to read as follows:
13.56.040 Rate - Certain Charitable Organizations. A
fifty percent reduction in the landfill rates as set forth in this
Chapter will be made available to certain charitable, nonprofit
organizations, provided that the following requirements are met:
A. The reduction will only be given upon completion by
the organization of a written application and acceptance of said
application by the City.
B. The reduction shall only be applied to those
charitable, nonprofit organizations, such as the Salvation Army,
St. Vincent de Paul, and Serenity House, the primary purpose of
which is to provide necessary support for the poor or infirm and
which must dispose of unusable donated items.
Section 2 - Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take
effect five days after the date of publication.

This Ordinance of the City of Port Angeles establishes a special landfill user rate
for certain charitable organizations and amends Ordinance 2317, as amended, and
Chapter 13.56 of the Port Angeles Municipal Code.
The full text of the Ordinance is available at City Hall in the City Clerk's office or will be
mailed upon request. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
This Ordinance shall take effect five days after the date of publication of this summary.
