AN ORDINANCE of the City of Port Angeles revising
the budget for the fiscal year ending December 31,
1998, adopting the budget for the fiscal year ending
December 31, 1999, amending Ordinance 2978, and
authorizing an increase in the regular property tax
levy.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES DOES ORDAIN
as follows:
Section 1. The annual budget of the City of Port Angeles for the year 1999, as
prepared by the City Manager for said City, and as finally amended , fixed, and determined as
to every item by the City Council after a public hearing having been held on Tuesday,
December 1, 1998, and notice of said hearing having been given and published in the manner
provided by law, is hereby adopted, approved and confirmed.
Section 2. The City Council has determined there is a need for an increase in
the regular property tax levy, in addition to any amount resulting from the addition of new
construction and improvements to property and any increase in the value of state assessed
property, therefore an increase is hereby authorized for the year 1999 levy in the amount of
$25,753, which is a percentage increase of one eighty -fifth of one percent (.85 %) from the
previous year.
Section 3. The 1998 budget appropriations as set forth in Ordinance 2978 are
hereby amended, and the 1999 budget appropriations are hereby adopted, in accordance with
the following summary of the totals of appropriations for each separate fund and the ag gregate
total for all such funds combined:

Section 4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to keep on file the budget referred to in
Sections 1 and 3 above and to transmit a complete copy of the final budget to the Division of
Municipal Corporations in the Office of the State Auditor and to the Association of Washington
Cities.

Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect five days after publication.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Angeles at a regular meeting of said
Council held on the 15th day of December, 1998.

Ordinance No. 3003
This Ordinance of the City of Port Angeles establishes a binding site improvement
plan process as an alternative method of land division in commercial and industrial
zones, amends Ordinance No. 2789, as amended, and amends Chapter 3.70 and
creates Chapter 16.10 of the Port Angeles Municipal Code.
Ordinance No. 3004
This Ordinance of the City of Port Angeles revises the budget for the fiscal year
ending December 31, 1998, adopts the budget for the fiscal year ending December
31, 1999, amends Ordinance No. 2978, and authorizes an increase in the regular
property tax levy.
Ordinance No. 3005
This Ordinance of the City of Port Angeles creates the Economic Development
Fund, abolishes the Governor's Rural Economic Summit Fund, and amends
Ordinance No. 2890, as amended, and Chapter 3.15 of the Port Angeles Municipal
Code.
The full texts of the Ordinances are available at City Hall in the City Clerk's office or will be
mailed upon request. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
These Ordinances shall take effect five days after the date of publication of these summaries.
