AN ORDINANCE of the City of Port Angeles, Washington, vacating
a portion of the 8th/10th Crossover Drive in Lots 13 - 20, Block 306 of
the Townsite of Port Angeles.
WHEREAS, a petition is on file with the City of Port Angeles to vacate the
undeveloped street commonly identified as the 8th/10th Crossover Drive in Lots 13 - 20, Block 306,
Townsite of Port Angeles; and
WHEREAS, the petition was signed by the owners of more than two - thirds of the
property abutting upon the right -of -way sought to be vacated; and
WHEREAS, the City Council initiated said vacation by Resolution No. 14 -00; and
WHEREAS, street vacations are categorically exempt from the requirements of the
State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) rules as set forth in WAC 197- 11- 800(2)(h); and
WHEREAS, a public hearing has been held by the City Council following public notice
pursuant to Chapter 35.79 RCW; and
WHEREAS, said vacation appears to be of benefit to and in the interest of the public;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES
DOES HEREBY ORDAIN as follows:
Section 1 - Vacation. Subject to the terms and conditions of this Ordinance, the
following described right -of -way as shown on the attached Exhibit A is hereby vacated:
That portion of the undeveloped street commonly identified as the 8th/10th
Crossover Drive in Lots 13 - 20, Block 306 of the Townsite of Port
Angeles, Washington.

Section 2 - Compensation. Pursuant to RCW 35.79.030, the compensation required for
the vacation of this street is $1.43 per square foot.
Section 3 - Quit Claim Deed. The owners of abutting property entitled to the vacated
street, pursuant to RCW 35.79.040, may present a quit claim deed to the City of Port Angeles for
execution by the Mayor, who is hereby authorized and directed to execute such quit claim deed.
Section 4 - Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take effect five days after publication.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Angeles at a regular meeting of said
Council held on the 19Th day of December, 2000

Summaries of Ordinances Adopted by the
Port Angeles City Council
on December 19. 2000
Ordinance No. 3072
This Ordinance of the City of Port Angeles establishes speed limits on certain
public streets in the City, amends Section 22 of Ordinance 1310, as most recently
amended by Ordinance 2706, and amends Chapter 10.16 of the Port Angeles
Municipal Code. The speed limit on Park Avenue from the east margin of
Peabody Street to the west margin of Race Street has been decreased from 35
miles per hour to 30 miles per hour, and the speed limit on Mount Angeles Road
from the north margin of Park Avenue to the south City limits has also been
decreased from 35 miles per hour to 30 miles per hour.

This Ordinance of the City of Port Angeles vacates that portion of the
undeveloped street commonly identified as the 8th/10th Crossover Drive in Lots
13 - 20, Block 306 of the Townsite of Port Angeles, Washington.
The full texts of the Ordinances are available at City Hall in the City Clerk's office or will be
mailed upon request. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Ordinance No. 3072 shall take effect five days after publication of this summary or after
approval by the Secretary of Transportation, whichever is later. Ordinance No. 3073 shall take
effect five days after publication of this summary.
