ORDINANCE NO. 3387
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Port Angeles, Washington, revising Chapter
13.73 of the Port Angeles Municipal Code relating to Medic 1 Charges.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES DO HEREBY ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Ordinance 3351, as amended, and Chapter 13.73 of the Port Angeles
Municipal Code are hereby amended by amending subparts 13.73.300(C)(9) to read as follows:
9. Multiple residential units that are served by a single utility connection shall be given
the option of (1) paying the utility fees for the units as a single combined amount or (2) charging
an monthly fee to each unit occupant . Those that select the first option shall be entitled to a rate
adjustment based on average occupancy -, and shall received a 25% reduction from the utility
fees calculated pursuant to Section 13.73.400.
Section 2. Ordinance 3351, as amended, and Chapter 13.73 of the Port Angeles
Municipal Code are hereby amended by amending subparts 13.73.400 and Exhibit A PAMC to
read as follows:
13.73.400. Charges Established. In accordance with the rate study presented to the City
Council, effective January 4, 2010 the base rates and fees for the Utility shall be as follows:

* Rates for individual facilities do not include allowable exemptions and vary based upon
their percentage of use within that classification. For individual facility rates, with
allowable exemptions, see Exhibit A.
Section 3 - Severability. If any provisions of this Ordinance or its applications to
any person or circumstances is held to be invalid, the remainder of the Ordinance or application
of the provisions of the Ordinance to other persons or circumstances is not affected.
Section 4 - Corrections. The City Clerk and the codifiers of this ordinance are
authorized to make necessary corrections to this ordinance including, but not limited to, the
correction of the scrivener's /clerical errors, references, ordinance numbering, section/subsection
numbers and any references thereto.
Section 5 - Effective Date. This ordinance, being an exercise of a power specifically
delegated to the City legislative body, is not subject to referendum. This ordinance shall take
effect January 4, 2010.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Angeles at a regular meeting of said
Council held on the 1st day of December, 2009.
