The Commission met in regular session at 10
Davis. Roll call showed the following officers
. and Filion,Attorney Plummer and Clerk Hawkins.

present. Mayor Davis,Commissionerz Beam
The minutes of the previous session were read and approved.
Under the haeo of applications for Building Permits the following was granted,-
R.O.White
Lot 2 Block 206 Townsite
$75.00
Garage
Police Judge Pro-tem,John Geisness reported 4 cases tried and $15.00 collected in
fines for the Honth of December,1932. Report ordered filed.
The official Bonds of Clifford Cowling Superintendent of the Light and Water Depart-
ments and Elsie M.Stahl,Deputy City Treasurer were approved by the City Attornay and
aocepted by the Commission.
Under the head of New Business,-
, The Department of Public Works having notified the Commission that a conference with
I the Pacifio Telephone & Telegraph Co. ,and the Horne Telephone & Telegraph Co. ,and the
re~resentatives of oities affeoted and officials of the Board would be held at Olympia,
'Washington,January 5,1933 at 10.a.m.,-
.It was moved by Mayor Davis that the City Attorney attend said conferenoe representing
the City of Port Angeles, Seoonded by Commissioner Beam. On roll call all members voted
aye. The 1rnyor declared the motion oarried.
.Under the head of unfinished business,-
Commissioner Filion in conformity with the Resolution passed November 30,1932,
announced the appointment of Thos.W.Owen as City Engineer and Superintendent of Streets.
It was moved by Commissioner Beam that the appointment be oonfirmed. Seoonded by
Mayor Davis. On roll oall all members voted aye. The Mayor deolared the motion oarried.

Following is the annual report of the Port Angeles Fire Department from December 31,
1931 to January 1,1933.

139 oalls were answered by this department oomposed of 61 general alarms with an
average of 14 men and 78 still afua~ms with an average of 2 men.
These 139 calls were caused by the following reasons;

Hose was tested to 200 Ibs pressure during the year and all stood the test.
2 lengths of 21>" hose was burned at the St Francis hotel fire.
Following is the hose on hand;
700 ft.lt" hose, 3,600 ft. 2t" hose, 400 ft.3" hose, total 4,700 rt. Of this amount
ft of It" hose was purohased and 150 ft of 1ft" given street department.
New fire fighting equipment put in servioe during the year;
A 100 g~llon booster tank was installed on the small pumper and is a wonderfull help
small f~res. A new set of tires for the large pumper and a rew minor supplies were
that was purohased during the year.
