A motion was made by Councllman Wolfe, seconded by Councilman Bettger .and carried to approve and

Planning Commission minutes of January 4, 1966, were read, recommending that the Councll approve
the application for variance of Crescent Shores Builders, In~.for'permission to construct an apart- I
ent building for college student housing on Lots 1 and 2, Block 1, Highland View Acre Tracts.
A formal appeal, signed by six property owners in the area, had been filed with the City Clerk and
the City Attorney. This was read and discussed.
motion was made by Councilman Wolfe, seconded by Councilman Maxfield and unanimously carried, to
refer the appeal to the City Attorney to review and verify the allegations contained therein, and
or his recommendation.

ORDINANCE No. 1577
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Port Angeles granting a refund
for overpayment on a water bill.

pass the foregoing ordinance as read. (This ordinance authorized the Treasurer to refund $283.25

A motion was made by Councilman Bettger and seconded by Councilman Thorne to grant a loading zone,
as requested by Harris and Schuller, immediately east of the driveway lnto the Parklng Lot.
~fter further discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Wolfe, seconded by Councllman Shcroeder
and carried, to table the motion to grant the loading zone to Harris and Schuller for further study
of the possible need for other loading zones pursuant to reVlSlon of the Ordinance regarding loadln
'zones. (Study session to include the Chief of Police and Planning Commission along with the Councill)

A motion was made by Councilman Cornell, seconded by Councilman Maxfield and carried, to refer the
application of the Wagon vfueel Tavern (Percy Rogers)to the Police Chief for recommendation.

A motion was made by Councilman Bettger, seconded by Councilman Thorne and carried, to accept and
place on file the Equipment RentaL Operating Statement, the Light and Water Departments R~venue and
Expenses, the Fire Department report onthe Aldwell Building Fire and the Civil Service minutes of
~ecember 3, 1965, and the Light and Water Departments' Monthly Report.

missioners for a list of names of persons to serve on the Advisory Board regarding the County Fair-
grounds; and the City Manager reported that pictures (Slides) for the Public Annual Report for 1965
