Roll call showed the following officers present: Mayor Beetle, Commissioners Beam and Lind, Attorney Conniff and Clerk Hawkins. Under the head of Applications for Building Permits the following were granted: Soren Christensen, Build House, Lot 5, Block 106, E. C. Baker Sub<!. Mrs. Wesley Johnson, Build Garage, Lot 4, Block 72, Townsite James W. Caven, Build House, Lot 5, Block 71, Townsite 2000 .00 400.00 2500 .00 Under the head of Introduction of Resolutions the following resolution was introduced: RESOLUTION TO SELL PROPERTY ADQUIRED BY FOREDLOSURE WHEREAS, l'he City of Port iCngeles iR the owner of the following described real property in the City of Port Angeles, to-wit: Lots Fifteen (15) and Sixteen (16), Block Three Hundred Forty-nine (349), Townsite of Port Angeles, Washington, which said property has been acquired by the City on foreclosure of delinquent local improvement assess- ments inder Chapter 205 of the Session Laws of 1927, and WHEREAS, Edward Ahlskog has offered to purchase the above described real property from the City of Port Angeles for the sum of $300.00, payable as follows: $30.00 as a down payment and $10.00 on or before the 5th day of February, 1942, and $10.00 on or before the 5th day of each and every month thereafter until paid in full, together with interest computed at the rate of 7% per annum on monthly balances and paid with the monthly installments, and WHEREAS, the City Commission has viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the offer is fair value and that at this time it is to the best interest of the City that it should be accepted and the sale made. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the said offer be accepted and that the City of Port Angelea sell the said property at private sale to the said Edward Ahlskog for the sum hereinabove set forth, subject to any valid liens against the same; that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a deed conveying said properlY to the purchaser, and that the City Treasurer be authorized to execute the said deed in accordance with the provisions of this resolution and Chapter 275, Session Laws of 1927. It was moved by Commissioner Beam that the foregoing resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded by Commissioner Lind. On roll call all ",embers voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried. Under the head of Introduction of Ordinances the following ordinance was introduced, read in full and placed,on its first and second readings: AN ORD~NANCE setting forth an emergency affecting the public health and safety; requiring expenditures i unforeseen; providing for the issuancs of emergency warrants; and declaring an emergency making the ordinaI\ce immediately effective.
