Roll aall showed the following offiaers present. Mayor Davis,Commissioners Beam and Filion,Attorney Plummer and Clerk Hawkins. The minutes of the previous session were read and approved. Whereas,oonditions have occurred in the Munioipal Waterworks System which could not have been foreseen,which makes i2 neoessary oertain repairs normally occurring later in the year,and this condition affects the public peace,health and safety. It was moved by CommiSSioner Beam that the Ordinance be placed on its final passage and adopted. Seoonded by Commissioner Filion. On roll oall all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried. I Under the head of reading and passage ot Ordinances the followinf Ordinance was read by title and plaCled on its third reading,- An OrdinancesProviding tor special repair work on the MUnioipal Water System,the employment of labor therefor,the manner of-payment and rate of 88ge for same, and declaring an emergency. Whereas, a condition exists in the Munioipal Water System making it expedient to provide for immediate repairs,and Y~ereas,a oonsiderable number ot citizens of the City of Port Angeles have been for some time unemployed and for the publio good it is desirable that 80 far as possible employment should be provided,and that suoh employment should extend to as many citizens requiring work as oonditions will permit,and .Whereas, the City Commission has provided for the expenditure of the sum of Ten thousand \ $10,000.00 ) Dollars for suoh special repairs,and ' Whereas,these conditions affeot the public peace,health and safety and create an emergency. It was moved by Commissioner Beam that the Ordinanoe be plaoed on its final reading and adopted. Secended by Commissioner filion. On roll call all members voted aye. Under the head of reports from City Offioers the following was read,- Offioe of City Engineer. January 13,1932. To the Honorable Mayor and City Commission, Port Angeles,Wash. Gentlemen,- I herewith submit the fourth and final estimate (Jan.1 of work done and material furnished by Williams and Rauoh, Contraotors,on Looal Improvement Distriot No.142. There being no unoompleted or defeotive work for whlah the City makes olaim, I therefore reoommend that the work be aooepted. It was moved by Commissioner Filion that the City Engineer~s 4th. and final estimate on Looal Improvement Distriot No.142 be aooepted and the City Clerk be instruoted to draw a warrant on L.I.D.No.142 for $56.38 in favor of Williams & Rauch, Contractors on said distriot in acoordanoe with said estimate. Seaonded by Commissioner' Beam. on roll oall all member voted aye. The mayor deolared the motion carried. The City Engineer having reported that the work of Williams & Rauoh,Contractors on Looal, Improvement District No.142 oompleted and that there was no unfinished or defeotive work for which the oity makes olaim. It was moved by Commissioner Filion that the work of Contractors Williams & Rauoh on L.I.D.No.142 be aocepted. Seoended by Commissioner Beam. On roll oall all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion oarried. Under the head of reports from City offioers the follOWing was read,- Jan. 12 ,1932 To the Honorable Mayor and City Commissions Gentlemen; - I beg to advise you that it is now time to issue bonds in L.I.D.No.139. Total amount of warrants issued -------________________________________ Interest on warrants to Jan 28th -_____________________________________ , 3,760.89 104.84 Total of warrants and interest ------______________________________.--- Total oash oolleoted including transler from the L.I.D.Gen.Fund 3,865.73 645.94 Balanoe' for which bonds must be issued and to be dated Jan.28th.1932. 3,219.79 May I have your order to transfer from the L.I.D.Gen.Fund the interest on the above warrants,to L.I.D.No.139. Respectfully submitted, Madge H.Nailor, City Treasurer. - , ' It was moved by Commissioner Beam that the above report be aooepted and that the Treasurer be instructed to transfer $104.84 from the L.I.D.General Fund to the fUnds of L.I.D.No.139 to take care of the interest due on the warrants issued.
