January 18, 1959 19_ The Commission met in regular session at 10 a.m. and was called to order by Mayor Davis. Roll call Showed the following officers present. Mayor Davis, Commissioners Henson and Masters, Attorney Conniff and Clerk Hawkins. The minutes of the previous session were read and approved. Under. the head of new business: The C. M. St.P. and P. Railroad Company submitted an agreement with the City of Port Angeles for a right-of-way for railroad tracks across the East 120 feet of Lot 2 and the westerly portion of Lot 5 of the Ediz Hook Lighthouse Reservation. The City Engineer hanng checked the agreement , reported that he found the description of the right-of-way as shown on the blue print attached to the agreement to be correct. I The C~ssion therefore, instructed the Mayor to sign the agreement on behalf of the ~ity of Port Angeles'l Under. the head of introduction of resolutions the following resolution was introduced: ! RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the National Park Service having made application for permission to erect and maintain radio masts. and aerial on the north edge of the City of Port Angeles Water Reservoir site near the location selected for the construction of headquarters bUildings for the National Park Service in the NW* of NEi of Section 15, T. 50 N. R. 6 W. W.M., and, WHEREAS, the National Park Service should have the best possible radio communications obtainable on i account of the important part radio plays in forest fire protection, . i NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HESOLVED, that the National Park Service application for permission to erect and ,.,. maintain radio masts and aerial on the north edge of the City of Port Angeles Water Reservoir, sit~ be ,and the same is hereby granted, to remain in effect until such time as the City may need the property for ci ty purposes. It was moved by Commissioner Henson that the above resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded by Commissioner Masters. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried. Under the head of Introduction of ordinances the following ordinance was read in full and pIeced on first and second readings: An Ordinance fixing the salaries, compensation and wages of certain officers and employees of the City of Port Angeles, Washington. The Commission examined and allowed the following claims and ordered warrants drawn for seme: CURRENT EXPENSE FUND D.A.Masters Expense Account 1,9.16 CITY STREET FUNll Glass Specialty Co.
