Under the \lead of n8\V business a request by School District No. 7 for vacation of 15th Street from the east
!margin of Lincoln Street to the west margin of Chase street was read and discussed. The Attorney was
j'instrocted. to present a resolution at the next session fixing date of hearing for the said vacation.

The report of. Police Judge Taylor for the month of December showing 127 cases tried and $1,787.00 fines
collected was approved and ordered filed. The annual report of Judge Taylor for 1947 was also approved
I'and ordered filed. .
,The annual report of the Polica Department was submitted by Chief Ide. The Commission commended the Chief
ilfor submitting a very satisfactory report, which wl!.s accepted and ordered filed.
Bonds for employees were approvad as follows: U. S . Fidelity and Guaranty Co. for Madge H. Nailor; Standard:
Accident Insurance Co. for John M. Wilson and Stanley A. Taylor; New Amsterdam Casualty Co. for H. E. Dodge, I
,R.. O. Ide, C. A. Wolverton, J. E. Law, Gladys B. Carlson, B. W. Lean, Wayne P. O'Day, E. M. Stahl, G. W.
Jeffrey, and LeRoy Jagger. It was moved by Commissioner Steele that the foregoing bonds be approved and I
that J. W. Pike also be bonded. Seconded by Commissioner Johnson. All voted Aye. Motion carried. ,

WHEREAS, IT APPEARS, That requirements of certain departments for the year 1947, made neoessary the
" expendi tures of sums of money greater than contemplated, and
'WHEREAS, the amount provided for other items wi thin the same legal classification have not been exhausted
and portions of the said sums can be transferred within the same legal classification, and
'WHEREAS, Those requirements were not and could not have been reasonable foreseen at the time of preparation

:1 Under the head of reading and passage of ordinances, the following was pessed third reading and finally
i!adopted: ,
" ' ORDINANCE NO. 1193
AN ORDINANCE setting forth an emergency affecting the public health and safety; requiring expenditures
i unforeseen; providing for the issuance of emergency warrants; and declaring an emergency, making the
'ordinance'immediate1yeffective.
It was moved by Mayor Epperson that the foregoing ordinance be passed third and final reading and adopted.
'Seconded by Commissioner Steele. All voted Aye. Motion carried.
Under the'head of introduction of resolutions for the sale of real property by the City, the following was
introduced:
A. B. McIntosh Lot Nine (9), Block Fifty (SO), Townsite of Port Angles, Wash.

It was moved by Commissioner Steele that the foregoing resolution be approved and the property sold.
