The Commissioners met in regular session at 10 A.M. and was called to order by Mayor Robinson. Roll call
showed the fcllovnng officers present: Mayor Robinson, CO~T.issioners Beam and Masters and Attorney
Johnston.
The minutes of the previous session were read and approved.
A permit was granted to move a Hot House on Lot 2, Blook 1, Aldwell's Subdivision Lot 35 '$150.00
Under the head of unfinished 3usiness:
Police Judge, 11'. F. Phillips repcrted 61 cases tried and $457.50 collected in fines for the mO'lth of
January, 1943.
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECLTION OF CONTRACT
The matter of the garbage contract was brought up and the following resolution was introduced:
WHEREAS it appears the the present garbage disposal contract will expire on February 3, 1943, and
vmEREAS J. R. McDor:ald, the present contractor for the disposal of garcage, has expressed 2 d.esire to
continue under sL~ilar terms for a period of three years, and

by the said J. R. McDonald and belleves
another cont.ract with the said J. H. 1
WHEREAS in the present emergency it is extreffiely doubtful if ar.y other persc~ co~ld o~tal~ the necessary
equipment to satisfactorily handle said BArbage and dispose of the same, and
'NHEREAS the City Commission is satisfied with the services rendered
that the best. interests of the city v{ould be served by entering into
McDonald, and
WHEREAS a proposed ccntract has been prepared and is acceptable to the s3id ,. R. McDonald and to the
City of Port Angeles,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the said City of Port Angeles enter into another contract as attached
to this Eesolntion with the said .J. R. McDonald and that the same be executed on behalf of the City of
Port Angeles by the Maycr hereof.

It was moved by Mayor Ro:oinson that the resignations be accepted and a letter \'(ritten thanking the Park
Board for their past services. Seconded by Commissioner Masters. On roll call all mem:oers voted aye.
The Mayor declared the motion carried.
