The Commission met in regu12r session at 10 j'.L and was called to order by Itayor Beetle. Roll call
showed the followir.g officers present: Mayor Beetla, COI1'JlD.ssioners Beam and Lind, Attorney Conniff and
Clerk ~wkins.
The minutes of the previous session wera read and approved.
Under the head of applicaEono for lluilding permits the follewing were granted:

Under the head of Introduction of Resolutions the fol] owing resolutions w:re introduced:
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The C:i t;r of Port Angeles is the owne1 of the following described real property, having acquired
the same by Treasurer's deed dated February 13, 1940, under and by virtue of the authority of Section
95gB of Reningtcn's Revised Statutes, Chapter 145 of the Laws of 1929, page 565, to-wit:
Lot Six (6), Block 1'"NO Hundred Twenty-six (226), Townsite of Port P.ngeles,
Washington, and
WHEREAS, Roy Sparks has offered to purchase the above described real property from the City of Pert
Ingeles for the swn of $200.00, payable as follows: :;\20.00 as a down payment and $10.00 on cr before the
5th day of March, 1940, and $10.00 on cr before the 5th d~J of each and every month thereafter until
paid in full. Interest to be computed monthly on the balance due at the rate of 7% per annum and paid
with th~ rr.onthly instAllment, and
WHEREAS, The City Ccnunission has viewed the said property and is cf the op~n:LOn that the offer is fair
v"lue and is in excess of the amount paid by the City for said property, plus all I.I.D. assessments,
including interest and other charges against the same,
NOli, THEREFORE, BE IT R:::301VED that the said offer be accepted and that the City of Port Angeles sell the
said property at private sale to the said Roy bparks for the sum hereinabove set forth, subject to any
other valid liens against the same; that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a quit claim deed
conveying said property to the purchaser, Gnd that thc City Cl€rk of the City of Port Angeles be and r.e is
hereby instructed tc execute said quit claim deed, and that the Mayor of the "ity of Port Angeles be em
he is hereby instructed to countersign said quit clai'll deed vthen thepurchase price and all accrued
interest thereon ha s been paid in full.
It vtas moved by Comrr.issioner Beam that the foregoing resoluticn be approved and adopted. Seconded by
Commissioner Lind. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.
RESOLUTI all
IYHEREAS, The City of Port mngeles is the owner of the following described real property, to-wit:
That porticn of lot 11, Block 35, Tewnsite of Port Angeles lying north cf the
north line of Marine Drive, being triangular in shape and described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the west line cf Lot 11 with the north line of
Itarine Drive, running thence northeasterly a distance of 56.55 feet, thence
westerly 52.29 feet to the nort'l1'Iest corner of said lot 11, thence scutherly 16.7
feet to the north line of V4rine Drive, the point of beginning, and
WlIERt:AS, C. '. Neal desires to construct and maintain bill boards on said above described property to be
used for advertising purposes, and has offered to pay $5.00 per year, payable in advance, for the use cf
said property; and agrees that in case the city should sell the said property or need it for city purposes,
to remove sll bill boards and other property belongi,ng to him, and vacate the said property upon 30 days
notice.
Nail, TrlEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the said offer be accepted and that the City of Port Angeles permit
the said C. F. Neal to construct and maintain bill boards en the above described property under the terms
and conditions hereinabcve set forth.
It was moved by Commissioner Beam that the foregoing resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded by
Commissioner Lind. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the mDtier. carried.
Under the head of Unfinished Business,-
The Recreational Council recomrr.ended the appointment of Roy Chapman to membership on the Recreatiol1ill
Council. It "as moved by Cormr.issioner Beam that the nameof Roy Chapman be entered in the recorda as a
member of said Council. Seconded by COll",lissioner Lind. On roll call all members voted aye. The l:ayor
declared the motion carried. '
