Roll call of Officers showed the following present: Mayor Epperson, Commissioners Steele and Johnson, Attorney Wilson and Clerk Law. The Minutee of the previous session were read and approved. , Under the head of Applications for Building Permits, the following were granted: Peterson & Craver F. G. City Commission City of Port Angeles Ge"tlemen: I' At the regular meeting of the ~ort Commission held February 13, 1946, it was moved and seconded that the Port of Port Angeles deed to the City of Port Angeles the North 10 ft. of all Lots owned by the Port in Blocks 103-105-110 and 111, Townsite of Port Angeles, for street purposes. It was also agreed that the Port would deed back to the City of Port Angeles any portion of "E" Street, when vacated, South of Marine Drive needed in conjunction with the widening of Marine Drive. Devine, representing the Clallam County Housing Authority regarding improvement of Eunice I Street South of 8th was read before the Commission. It was moved by Commissioner Johnson that the letter be filed with Engineer for inspection; seconded by Connnissioner Steele. All members voted "Aye". Sup't. Lean recommended installation of Street light at EUIdce & Lauridsen Boulevard. i Under the head of Introduction of Resolutions, the foil owing were introduced: RESOLUTIONS WHEREAS, a petition has this day been filed with the City Commission of the City of Port Angeles, Washing- ton, signed by all of the owners of the area embraced within tJle plat of the addition to Port Angeles hereinafter deecribed, requesting that said plat be vacated with certain exceptions noted hereafter; and WHEREAS, said plat and the vacation thereof requested is described as: Plat of Virginia Park and Terrace, being a subdivision in lots and blocks of ten-acre tract No. 12, Government Townsite of Reservation, together with all streets and alleys shown on said plat, with the exception of Second Street and that portion of First Street used by the State of Washington for highway pur- poses; and I [ WHEREAS, it is necessary, under the prov~s1Ons of Rem. Rev. Stat. 9512, etseq, for a time of hearing to be I fixed not less than thirty nor more than sixty days from the presenting of said petition. I ! I I of "ort 1 stenographer NCflIJ THEREFORE, EE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Port Angeles that a hearing on said peti tion to vacate eaid plat be held in the City Commission room of the City of Port Angeles on Wednesday the 27th day of March, 1946, at the hour of eleven o'clock a.m. RESOLUTION I WHEREAS, in Ordinance No. 1154, fixing the monthly salaries and wages of employees of the City Angeles for 1946, provision was made in the Light Department for the employment and pay of one at the rate of $205.00 per month; and WHEREAS', in the Budget of Expenditures for said Department proviSion is made for one stenographer at per month; and tJ,50 .00 I I 1 WHEREAS, said employee is employed a portion of her time in keeping books and records for the Sanitation Department and there are funds for the payment of extra labor in said Department; NO'Il, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Port Angeles that'the City Clerk be and he is authorized and instructed to pay the sum of $55.00 per month to said stenographer out of the item of extra labor in the Sanitation Department, and the balance of $150.00 per month out of the Light Depart- , ment. It was moved by Commissioner Johnson that the foregoing Ordinance pass first and second reading; seconded by Commissioner Steele and on roll call all voted "Aye". Motion carried.
