Roll call showed the, following officers present: Mayor Beetle, Connnissioners Beam and Lind Attorney Conniff and IClerk Ha1ik~ns. ' lThe minutes of the previous session were read and approved. IUnder the head of Applications for Building Permits the following were granted: Angeles, Gravel & Supply Co., Build Residence, Lot 41, Block 106, ,!'ownsite lJessie 1'. Enoch, Build Residence, Lot 5, Block 165, ownsite I,E. R. Morganthaler, Addition to Residence, Lot 1, Block 122, 'ownsite 'Alex Pappas, Remodeling House, Lot 16, Block 330, Townsite 'R. Sorensen, Constroct Dwelling, sl Lot 11, Block 269, '.l:ol'11lBite IWm. Gorsegner, Remodel Room, Lot 19, Block 16, N. Ii. Smith Subd. n ", Construct Residence, Lot 10, ,Block 34B, Townsite Iunder the head of Introduction of Resolutions the following resolutions were introduced: , RESOLUTION 'WHEREAS" '<he City of Port lAngeles is the owner of the following described real property, having acquired the same by Treasurer's deed dated Febroary 20, 1940, under and by virtue of the authority of Section 9393 of Remington's Revised Statutes, Chapter 145 of the Laws of 1929, page 365, to-wit: 2000.00 1800.00 150.00 250.00 1800.00 100.00 2000 .00 Lot Fifteen (15), Block Four (4), Hartt and Cook Subdivision of Suburban Block 51 of the Townsite of Port Angeles, Washington, and WHEREAS, Theodore Hansen has offered to purchase the above described real property from the City of Port !Angeles for the sum of $175.00, payable as follows: &20.00 as a down payment and $10.00 on or before the 1,20th day of March, 1940, and $10.00 on or before the 20th day of each and every month thereafter until paid in full. Interest to be computed monthly on the balance due at the rate of 7% per annum and paid with the monthly installment, and WHEREAS, The City Commission has viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the offer is fair value and is in excess of the amount paid by the City for said property, plus all L.I.D. assessments, including interest and other charges against the same, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the said offer be accepted and that the City of Port Angeles sell the said property at private sale to the said Theodore Hansen for the sum hereinabove set forth, subject to any other valid liens against the same; that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a quit claim deed conveying said property to the purchaser, and that the .City Clerk of the City of 1'0rt Angeles be and he is hereby instructed to execute said quitclaim deed, and that the Mayor of the City of Port Angeles be and he is hereby instructed to countersign said quit claim deed when the purchase price and all accroed interest thereon has been paid in full. It was moved by Commissioner Beam that the foregoing resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded by Connnissioner Lind. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried. RESCltUTION TO ClrnRY FORWARD BUDGET ITEM WHEREAS, In the budget for the year 1959, and item of ,$20,000.00 was provided to purchase material for the construction of an Athletic Field at the corner of Race and Fourth Streets, the W.P.A. to furnish the labor for the ccnstruction, and WHEREAS, On account of being unable to obtain sufficient W.P.A.tabor the project was only partially com- pleted, the sum of $6,157.28 having been expended for material out of the $20,000.00 item provided for in the budget, leaving a balance of $13,842.72 unexpended, which said amount will be needed for the purchase of material to complete the construction of the said Athletic Field during the present year 1940. NOE, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission that the unexpended portion of the item of $20,000.00 provided for in the 1959 bldget for the purchase of Material for the construction of the Athletic Field amounting to $13,642.72 be transferred from the 1959 budget to the 1940 budget, and that the City Clerk be and he is hereby authorized to make all necessary entries to make said transfer in order that warrants may be drawn against the same in payment for material to complete the construction of the said Athletic Field. It was moved by Commissioner Lind thet the foregoing resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded by Connnissioner Beam. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.
