Roll call showed the following officers present: Mayor Beetle, Commissioners Beam end Lind, Attorney Conniff and Clerk Hawkins. The minutes of the previous session were read and approved. Police Judge, W. F. Phillips, reported 52 cases tried and .11556.00 collected in fines for the month of February, 1940. Report ordered filed. Under the head of Applications for Building Permits the following was granted: J ames A, J.Iallory, Remodel House, Lot 19, Block 244 , Townsite $250.00 Under the head of Introduction of Resolutions the following resolutions were introduced: RESOLUTION WHEREAS, The City of Port Angeles is the owner of the following described real property, having acquired the same by Treasurer's deed, dated June 1, 1938, under and by virtue of the authority of Section 9593 of Remington's Revised Statutes, Chapter 145 of the Laws of 1929, page 565, to-wit: Lot Nineteen (19), Block Three Hundred Forty-five (545), Townsite of Port Angele s, Washington, and WHEREAS, Wilfred E. Bower has offered to purchase the above described real property from the City of Port !Angeles for the sum of $350.00, payable as follows: $55.00 as a down payment ani $10.00 on or before the 25rd day of March, 1940, and $10.00 on or before the 25rd day of each and every month thereafter until paid in full. Interest to be computed monthly on the balance due at the rate of 7% per annum and paid with the monthly installment, and WHEREAS, The City Commission has viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the offer is fair value and is in excess of the amount paid by the City for said property, plus all L.LD. assessments, including interest .and other charges against the same, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the said offer be accepted and that the City of Port Angeles sell the said property at private sale to the said Wilfred E. Bower for the sum hereinabove set forth, subject to any oilier valid liens agaisnt the same; that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a quit claim deed conveying said property to the purchaser, and that the City Clerk of the City of Port ihlgeles be and he is hereby instructed to execute said quit claim deed, and that the Mayor of the City of Port Angeles be and he is hereby instructed to countersign said quit claim deed when the purchase price and all accrued interest thereon has been paid in full. It was moved by Collllllissioner Beam that the foregoillg resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded by Conmissioner Lind. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried. RESOLUTION WHEREAS, The City of Port Angeles is the owner of the following described real property, havillg acquired the same by Treasurer's deed dated March 6. 1940, under and by virtue of the authority of Section 9595 of Remington I s Revised Statutes, Chapter 145 of the Laws of 1929, page 565, to-wit: Lots Eight (8) and Nine (9), Block Three Hundred Seventy (570) of the Townsite of Port Allgeles, WaShington, and WHEREAS, V. F. Beardon has offered to purchase from the City of Port Angeles the above described real property for the sum of tLOO.OO, payable as follows: $10.00 as a down payment and $5.00 on or before the 25rd day of April, 1940, and i5.00 on or before the 25rd day of each and every month thereafter until paid in full, together with interest at the rate of 7% per annum, computed on monthly balances due and paid with the monthly installment, and WHEREAS, l'he City C011ll\ission has viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the offer is fair value and at this time it is to the best interest of the City that it should be accepted and the sale made.. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOJl.VED, That said offer be accepted ani that the City of Port !Angeles sell the 1 said property at private sale to the said V. F. Beardon for the sum hereinabove set forth, subject to any other valid liens against the same; that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a quit claim deed I conveying said property to t he purchaser, and that the City Clerk of the City of Port A~eles be and he is hereby instructed to execute said quit claim deed, and that the lIayor of the G;. ty of ort Angeles be and' he is hereby instructed to countersign said quit claim deed when the purchase price and all accrued interest thereon has been paid in full. UTION WHEREAS, The City of Port Angeles is the owner of the following described real property, having acquired the s~e by Treasurer's deed dated June 1, 1940, under and by virtue of the authority of Section 9595 of Remington's Revised Statutes. Chapter 145 of the Laws of 1929, page 565, to-wit: Lot Twenty (20), Block Three Hundred Forty-five (345), of the Townsite of Port Angeles, Clallam County, Washington, and WHEREAS, A. B. Crowley has offered to purchase from the C:l.ty of Port Angeles the above described real property for the sum of $450.00, payable as follows: 1145.00 as a down payment and $5.00 on or before AprilS, 1940, and i5.00 on or before the 5th day of each and every month thereafter, including March 5, 1941, and then $10.00 per month on or before April 5, 1941, and $10.00 on or before the 5th day of each and every month thereafter until paid in full. Interest to be computed at the rate of 7% per annum on monthly balances and paid with the monthly installment, and further, all cement curb and gutter on the streets abutting the said property to be put in and paid for by the said A. B. Crowley on or before July 1, 1940. . Dyke Land CO'llpany's Subdivision of the ~ of Suburban lot Thirty-two (5~), of the Townsite of Port Angeles, Clallam County, Washington, and WHEREAS, Guy IIontgomery has offered to purchase from the "ity of Port Angeles the above described real property for the sum of $200,00, payable as follows: $20.00 as a down payment and t).0.00 on or before April 2, 1940, and $10.00 on or before the 2nd day of each ani every month thereafter until paid in full, together with interest on monthly balances at the rate of 7% per annum, and WHEREAS, Tbe City Commissioners have viewed the s aid property and is 'of the opiniin that the offer is fair value and is in excess of the amount p8id by the City for said property, plus all'L.LD. assessments, including interest and other charges against the same. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESO'DIED, that said pffer be accepted and that the City of Port Angeles sell the said propsrty at IT ivate sale to the said G~y Montgomery for the sum hereinabove set forth, subject to any valid liens against the same; that the L;ity Attorney be instructed to prepare a quit claim deed conveying said property to the purchaser, and that the City Clerk of the City of Port Angeles be and .he is hereby instructed to execute said wuit claim deed, and that the Mayor of the City of Port Angeles be and he is hereby instructed to countersign said quit claim deed when the purchase price and all accrued interest thereon has been peid in fIlll.
