IThe Corrunission met in regular session <It 10:00 a.m. and was called to order by Mayor Epperson. Roll Call
'showed the following Officers present: Mayor Epperson, Commissioners Johnson and Steele, Attorney Wilson
and Clerk Law.
The ],:inutes of the previous session were read and approved.

II Under the head of Unfinished Business, the hearing regarding vacation of alley running westerly through Block
42 of N. R. Smith's Subdivision of the Townsite of Port Angeles from the point of intersection of said alleY1
wi th Vine Street, westerly to the point where the same intersects Victoria Street, then came before the
'Commission. It was moved IT.1 Commissioner Johnson that the petition for the vacation of the said alley be
granted; seconded by :COmmissioner Steele and on roll call all voted "Aye". Motion carried.
Attorney Severyns appeared before the CDll'1I1ission for A. P. Herbig in regard to Tax Cab license which was
rejected at previous hearing. It was movsd by 'Corrunissioner Steele that the previous decision of the Com-
mission be rescinded and the license granted; seconded by Commissioner Johnson. On Roll Call, all voted
Ii IIAyell. Motion carried.
Fire Chief Wolverton appeared before the Connnission regarding condemnation of certain buildings on east
Front Street and North Laurel Street and was ordered to proceed accoding to Ordinance.

,It was moved by Commissioner Johnson that .the reconnnendations be approved and the City Engineer be instruc-
I'ted to close T\J1JII'l"ater Street bridge to heavy traffice and make estimate of construction cost of neVi struc-
ture. Seconded by Commissioner Steele and on roll call, all voted "Aye". Motion carried.
A letter by Mrs. Neer regarding sale of the Campfire Clubhouse to the city Vias ordered tabled for further
, inve stiga ti on.
,The report of Police Judge Taylor for the month of February was approved and ordered filed.

Sup't. Lsan recommended the installation of a street light between I & K Streets and 4th & 5th Streets,
'Vlhich VIas approved.
Police Chief Ide recommended that arrangements be made for a permanent Public Pound, and after discussion
regarding the same, it was decided to malee further investigation.

'Under the hsad of Introduction of Resolutions, the following Vlere introduced:

WHEREAS, due to the increase of labor costs and ether economic circumstances, the present charge made by
lithe City of Port Angeles for opening and closing graves in Ocean View Cemetery is inadequate;
INffiV, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PORT MJGELES, that from and after the
passing of this liesolution, the charge for such services be changed from its present amount to the sum of
$12.50.
,lIt was moved by COIlU"Tlissioner Johnson that the foregoing Resolution be approved and adopted;
Mayor Epperson. On Roll Call all voted "Aye"; motion carried.

use of modern equipment; and I

WEEREAS" the City Commission deems said purchase necessary and advisable;
NO'lf, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Port Angeles purchase from the owners thereof, the follow-
ing described property, to-wit:
Lots Eight (8) and !line (9) in Block Two Hundred (200) of the Government Townsite
of Port Angeles
for the sum of Ten Thousand ($10,000.00) Dollars cash, to be paid on delivery of a warranty deed and title
policy insuring the title to be free and clear of all encumbrances, said purchase money to be paid from the
Cumulative Reserve Fund for the acquisition of land for municipal purposes.

WHEREAS, it is necessary and advisable to acquire the property hereinafter described for the use of the

VMEREA~, said property is suitably located and the price thereof commensurate with the value, and the
, City C"mmissioners have determined and do hereby determine the purchase to be necessary and proper for
municipal uses.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Port Angeles purchase from the owners thereof, the follow-
: ing described property, to-wit:
Lots One (I), Tl-ro (2), Three (3), Nineteen (19) and Twenty (20) in Block Fifty (50)
of the Government Tovmsi te of Port Angeles
for the sum of Fourteen hundred fifty ($1450.00) Dollars cash, to be paid out of the Cumulative Reserve

It was moved by Mayor Epperson that the foregoing two resolutions be approved and adopted. Seconded by
