The Commission met in regular session at 10 A.M. and was called to order by Mayor Davis.
Roll call showed the following officers present: Mayor Davis, Commissioners Henson and
Masters, Attorney Conniff and Clerk Hawkins.
The minutes of the previous session were read and approved.
Under the head of Applications for Building Permits the following was granted:
John d. Eason, Build House, Lot 10, BIK. 252, ~ownsite
Under the head of Unfinished Business,-
The Engineer presented plans and specifications for the improvement of Second Street
from the west margin of Lincoln Street to the west margin of Oak Street and Second
Street from the east margin of Cherry Street to the west margin of Vall~y Street; Third
Fourth, I'ifth Sixth and Seventh Streets from the west margin of Lincoln Street to the '
break o~ Valley Street Gulch; Laurel, Oak and Cherry Streets from the north margin of
Eighth ~treet to the north margin of Second Street. Also plans and specifioations for
the improvement of Laurel, Oak, Cherry, Chase and Peabody Streets from the north margin
of the Boulevard to the south margin of Eighth Street; Ninth, Tenth, Eleventh and TWelfth
Streets from the west margin of Peabody Street to the break of Valley Street Gulch;
Thirteenth, fourteenth and Fifteenth citreets from their interseotion with the Boulevard
to the break of Valley Street Gulch.

After examining and discussing the above street improvement plans and specifications
they were aooepted and adopted by the ;';ommission.
Under the head of New Business,-
The City Engineer was instructed to prepare a call for bids for the purchase of one
Ten Ton Road Roller, one One Hay Power Sweeper and three Aggregate Spreader Boxes,
specifications and bidding sheets to be obtained at the City Clerk's office, and bids to
be received up to and dot later than 10 A.M., March 21, 1938, at the ~ity Clerk's offioe.
Under the head of Introduotion of desolutions the following resolutions, were introduced:
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The City of Port An@Bles is the owner of the following described real property,
haVing aoquired the same by Treasurer's deed dated March 3, 1938, under and by virtue of
the authority of Section 9393 of Remington's Revised Statutes, Chapter 143 of the Laws
of 1929, Page 365, to-wit:
Lot Four (4), Block One Hundred Seventy-three (173) of the Government
Townsite of Port Angeles, Washington, and,
WHEREAS, Peter Milanovich, has offered to purohase the above described real property
from the City of Port Angeles, for the sum of ~225.00, and,
WHEREAS, The ampunt offered for the above desoribed real property is in excess of the
amount paid by the said City for said property, plus all L.I.D. assessments inoluding
all interest and other charges against the same, and,
VffiEREAS, The City Commission has viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the
offer is fair value.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That said offer be acoepted and that the City of Port
Angeles sell the said property at private sale to the said Peter Milanovich, for the
sum hereinabove set forth, subject to any other valid liens aga~nst the same; that the
City Attorney be instruoted to prepaare a quit claim deed oonveying said property to
the purohaser, and that the City Clerk of the City of Port Angeles be, ,and he is hereby
instructed to execute said quit claim deed, and thatthe Ma~or of said City be, and he
is hereby instructed to 0 ountersign said quit claim deed.
It was moved by Commissioner Henson that the above resolution be adopted. Seconded by
Mayor Davis. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor deolared the motion
oarried.

all interest and other charges against the same, and,
WHEREAS, The ~ity Commission has viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the
offer is fair value.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That said offer be aocepted and that the City of port
Ang~leS sell the said property at private sale to the said Harry McNutt for the sum"
hereinabove set forth, subject to any other valid liens ag~inst ~he sa~e; that the City

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The City of Port Angeles is the owner of the following desoribed real pro~rty,
having acquired the same by the Treasurer's deed dated March 4, 1938, under and by virtue
of the authority of jeation 9393 of Remington's Revised citatutes, i.lhapter 143 of the Laws
of 1929, Page 365, to-wit:
wi of Lot Five (5) and the Et of Lot Six (6), Blook One (1), Tideland East
of Laurel Street in front of the ~ity of Port Angeles, Washington, and,
)' WHEREAS, John Goneis has offered to purchase the above described real property from the
City of Port An~les for the sum of $4,500.00, payable as follows: ~50.00 cash and the
balanoe of ~4,450.00 payable as follows: ~50.00 on or before April 15, 1938, and ~50.00
on or before the 15th day of eaoh and every month thereafter unti~ paid in full. Inter-
est on the balance due shall be computed monthly at the rate of 6% per annum and de-
ducted from the monthlY payment eaoh month and the balance of said payment to be applied
on the prinoipal, and,
WHEREAS, ~he amount offered for the above described real property is in excess of the
amount paid b~ the said ~ity for said property, and,
VffiEREAS, The City Commission has viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the
offer is fair va lue.
,NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the said offer be accepted and that the City of Port
Angeles sell the said property at private sale to the said John Goneis for the sum here-
, inabove set forth, that the City Attorney be instruoted to prepare a quit claim deed
oonveying said property to the purohaser, and that the ~ity Clerk of the City of Port
Angeles be and he hereby instructed to execute said quit olaim deed, and that the Mayor
of the City pf Port Angeles be, and he is hereby instruoted to countersign said quit
olaim deed, when the purohase prioe and all aocrued interest thereon has been paid in
full.
It was moved bv Commissioner masters that the above resolution be adopted. Seconded by
Commissioner H~nson. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion
oarl' ied.

It was moved by Commissioner nenson that the foregoing Engineer's Report be aooepted and
the City Clerk be instructed to issue a warnant in the sum of $731.76 to George Taylor.
Seconded by Commissioner Masters. On ,Doll call all members voted aye. The Mayor
deolared the motion oarried.
