I Tha Commission met in regular session at 10:00 a.m. and was called to order hy Mayor Epperson. Roll Call
" of Officers showed the following present: Mayor Epperson, Commissioners Steele & Johnson, Attorney Wilson
and Clerk Law.
The Minutes of the previous session were read and approved.

Mr. Faussett appeared before the Commission requesting that they consider the passage of an Ordinance pro-
hibiting the leaving of small children unattended and providing for the prosecution of such persons for
negligence. Attorney Viilson explained that at the present there is nothing in the State law to authorize
such procedure, but State Legislature will soon take action to correct situation and City Ordinance will be
adopted to correspond.
I The- Mesdames Theo Jensen and Fred Van Scoyoc, representing the Park Board, appeared before the Commission I
requesting certain city-owned lots be set aside for public playgrounds. Commissioner Jchnson advised that '
the Park Board get list of lots owned by the City from City Treasurer and select the lots desired.
Jack Henson and James Zahrobsky spoke in behalf of the Salmon Club , regarding sub-lease with P. S. Pilot
Association on Ediz Hook property. It was moved by Y~yor Epperson that the Commission approve the agree-
ment between the Salmon Club and P. S. Pilots Association; seconded by Commissioner Steele; all voted
"Aye". Motion carried.

AN ORDINANCE vacating the alley running westerly through Block Forty-two (42) of Norman R. Smith's
subdivision of the Tovmsite of Port Angeles.

seconded by Commissioner Steele; motion carried.

The City Engineer requested a call for bids be made on fifteen hundred tons of bituminous patching
material. It was moved by Commissioner Johnson that the call for bids be made; seconded by Commissioner,
Steele. On roll call all voted "Aye"; motion carried.
The' Commission instructed the Clerk tc call for bids for the purchase of a new truck for the Street Depart-i
ment. It was moved by Commissioner Johnson that bids be called on new truck according to specifications; I
seconded by Commissioner Steele and all voted "Ayell. Motion carried.
