The Commission met in regular session at 10:00 A.M., and was called to ordsr by Ms,vor Feeley. Officers present were: Mayor Feeley, Commissioners Robinson and Taylor, Attorney Severyns and Clerk Law. Minutes of the previous session were read and approve<:l. Build Dwelling; N Lots 19-20, Blk. 418, Townsite 800.00 150.00 500.00 5,000.00 3.00.00 7,000.00 6,000.00 It was moved by Commissioner Taylor that the permits be approved and the application of Harry Higdon, which stipulates a four ,year constroction period be subject to provisions of the building code. Motion seconded by Commissioner Robinson. All voted Aye. Motion carried. Under the head of unfinished business, Mr. Pennoyer filed a duplicate claim for damage in amount of $327.30 to. house at 510 West 14th Street, caused by water from frozen pipes. It was moved by Commissioner Taylor that the claim be referred to the Attorney. Seconded by Commissioner Robinson. All voted Aye. Motion carried. The City received ~ summons regarding claim for injun- previously filed by Mrs. Godfrey. This was also referred to the Attorney. The Barber and Beauty operators filed a petition signed by twenty-two operators requesting the Commission to repeal the Ordinance requiring Barber and Beauty operators license. It was moved by Mayor Feeley that the cOlllllll1nication be filed. Seconded by Commissioner Robinson. All voted Aye. Motion carried. Commissioner Taylor informed that the Ci~ would consider the sale of Lot 5, Blk. 34, Townsite, as previously requested by J. Lyle Beam, for I. O. O. F., and advised that the minimum should .be fixed at $2,000.00. ' Mayor Feeley instructed Earl Davidson to contact Mr. Beam regarding minimum fixed and if satisfactory, sale of the lot will be advertised. Under the head of new business, I~rs. E. H. Keller requested information for the Handicapped Children's Association regarding purchase of the multigraph machine owned bYothe City. Commissioner Taylor infonned that the City will have work for the machine and Commissioner Robinson opposed sale of the same if it will be of use to the City. The Montgomery Ward Company filed claim for damages to stock in storage room in the Diamond .Store basement. Damage was October 10th and lath, 1950, and caused by heavy rainfall escaping from defective drain at First and Oak Streets. It was moved by Commissioner Taylor, seconded by Mayor Feeley, that the claim be referred to the Attorney. Motion carried.
