The Corranission met in regular session at 10:00 a.m. and VfaS called to order by Mayor Kpperson. Roll Call
showed the following Officers present: Mayor Epperson, Commissioners Johnson & Steele, Attorney Wilson
and Clerk rEW.
The Minutes of the previous session were read and approved.
Under the head of Applications for Building Permits, the following were granted:

Under the head of Unfinished Business:
, Warren Morse and Dell Church appeared before the Commission in regard to condEmnation of buildings on
: East Front Street and North Laurel Street, requesting what was considered sub-standard, and in their opin-
, ion said buildings were not fire hazards and should not be considered a menace. Fire Chief 'lro Iverton
explained that sub-standard means the condition of wiring, chimneys and certain'stages of decay. It was
moved by Commissioner Steele that the time of official condemnation and date of removal be advanced to the
next session; seconded by Mayor Epperson. On roll call all voted "Aye". Motion carried.

The Commission requested that bids for one truck and fifteen hundred tons of patching material be published I
and set the opening date as April 10, 1946.
Under tile head of Reading and Passage of Ordina nces, the following Ordinanoe passed third and final read-
ing:
ORDINANCE
I
AN ORDINANCE vacating tile alley running westerly through Block Forty-two (42) of llorman R. Smith's
Subdivision of the Townsite of Port Angeles.
I It was moved by Commissioner Johnson that the foregoing Ordinance be passed third and final reading and
adopted; seconded by Commissioner Epperson and on roll call all voted "Aye". Motion carried.
Under the head of New Business,
Mrs. Dan Lakie, 1805 West 7th Street, requested permission to construct a barn at 7th and L Streets.
The City Engineer was instructed to consult Ordinance regerding regulations and requirements.
Carl Holm appeared before the Commission requesting the alley between First and Second Streets to Chase
Street be opened for rear entrance to buildings. Commissioner Johnson advised Ur. Holm to contact prop-
erty owners regarding source of revenue to cover the cost.
Light Superintendent Lean presented a petition signed by property owners requesting installation of etreet
light at or near top of steps west of Second and Lincoln Streets. It wes moved by Commissioner Steele
that the light be installed; seconded by Commissioner Johnson. All voted "Aye". Motion carried.
Wendell Feddern, having sold his interest in the Gateway eafe, requested in writing that his soflt drink,
music machine and restaurant licenses be transferred to W. E. Kindred, the nev, owner. It was moved by
l'ayor Epperson that there being no objections, the request be granted. Seconded by Commissioner Steele
and all voted "Aye". Motion carried.

Commissioner Johnson and all voted "Aye". Motion carried.
