The Commission met pursuant to adjournment at 3 P.M. and was called to order by Mayor Davis. Roll call showed the following officers present: Mayor Davis. Commissioners Henson and Masters and Clerk Hawkins. Under the head of New Business,- The matter of the fire and ~ealth risk caused by the condition of t~e buildings at 214-214i and 216 N. Laurel ~treet came up for consideration. City ~ngineer, H. E. uod~e Chief of the Fire Department. ~. "'. ','101 verton and County Sanitary Inspector Hayes Evans. Jr., filed a report on the above buildings, declaring them to be a fire and health menace and recommended that the buildings be condemned and torn down. After examining and inspecting the buildings and duly considering the matter it was moved by Commissioner Masters that the report of the above named officers on the condition of the buildings at 214, 214t and 216 N. Laurel Street be approved and that said buildings be and they are hereby condemned and ordered torn down. Seconded by Commissioner Henson. On roll call all members voted aye. The i'layor declared the motion carried. The Commission then adjiurned to meet Monday, March 22nd at 2 P.M. /J ~)O/~ ~~ Ci ty Clerk Mayor March 22, 1937 The Commission met pursuant to adjournment at 2 P.E. Ro],l oall showed the fOllowing officers present: Commissioners Henson and Masters and Vlerk Hawkins. The matter of the purchase of a street flusher and tracotr and Dozer came up and was continued for further consideration of the bids.
