I The CollDllission met in regular session at 10 A.I.[. and was called to order by Mayor Robinson. Roll call
sllowed the following officers present: Mayor Hobinson, Commissioner Beam and Masters, Attorney Johnston
and Cle rk Hawkins. , _
The minutes of the previoue session were read and approved.
Under the head of Applications for Building Permits and Licenses the following were granted I
lIrs. Jerome Ibrlte, IbUd Garage, Lot 5, Block 22", N.R. Smith Sub.

Under the head of Introduction of Res!,lutions the following resolution WIlS introduced:

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The City of Port Ange les is the owner of the following described real property, having acquirEld
the same by Treasurer's deed, dated March 21, 1944, under and by virtue of the authority of Section 9595
of Remington's Revised Statutes, Chapter 145 of the Laws of 1929, page 565, to-wit.
lot Lhirtesn (15), Block Two Hundred Seventy-seven (277), Townsite of Port Angeles,
Washington, and
WHEREAS, H. E. Powless and Harriet A. Powless, husband and wife, have offered to purchase from the City of
Port Angeles the above described real property for the sum of 11SO.00, payable as follows: t15.00 as a
down payment and 110.00 on or before the 24th day of April, 1944, and 110.00 on or before the 24th day of
each and every month thereafter until paid in full, together with interest at the rate of 7% per annum on
monthly balances and paid with the lroOnthly installment, and
WHEREAS, The City Commission has viewed the said property and is of the opinion that ths offer is fair
value and is in excess of the amount paid by the City for said property, plus all L.I.D. assessmentl,
iacluding interest and other charges against the same.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the said offer be accepted and that the City of Port Angeles sell the
said proprty at private sale to the said H. E. Powless and Hsrriet A. Powless, husband and wife, for the
sum hereinabove set forth, subject to any valid liens against the same; that the City Attorney be instructsd
to prepare a quit claim deed conveying said property to the purchaser, and tbat the City Clerk of the I
City of Port Angeles be, and he is hereby" instructed to execute said quit claim deed, and that the Mayor .
of the City of Port Angeles be, and he is hereby instructed to countersign said quit claim deed when the 'I
purchase price and all accrued interest thereon has been paid in full.

It was Jlk)ved by 4.ollllissioner Masters that the foegoing resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded by
Mayor Robinson. On roll call all members voted aye. The llayor declared the motion carried.
Under the head of Unfinished llusiness the Mayor appointed the following named persons as members of the
Planning Commission:

It was moved by Commiss!. oner Beam that the foregoing appointments as members of the Pllmning Commission be
approved and cOnfirmed. Seconded by Commissioner lIasters. On roll call all members voted aye. The iiayor
declared the motion carried.
