The CDmmissiDn met in regular sessiDn at 10:00 A.M. and was called tD order by Mayor
Davis. RDll call showed the fDIIDwing officers present: Mayor Davis, CDmmissiDners
Henson and Masters, Attorney CDnniff and Clerk Hawkins.

Mrs. Lucy ~. Lipsky having nDtified tne ~ommission that she had sold her business, The
Reliable ~urniture ~ompany, tD James McClellen, asked the Commission to transfer her
Second Hand License No. 4327 to the said James McClellen. There being no objection the
Ci ty "lerk was instructed to make said transfer as reques.ted.
Under the head Df IntrDducti Dn of Ordinances the following Ordinance was read in full
and plaeed on its first and second readings:
AN ORDINANCE amending Sections 1 an,d 4 of Ordinance No. 874, being an ordinance prDviding
for the regulation, housing and operation of dry cleaning plants within the city limits
of the ~ity of Port Angeles, and providing for a license fee for the operation thereDf,
and ~ixing penalties for the violatiDn thereof.
Under the head of Introduction Df Resolutions the following resDlutiDn was introduced:
RESOLu'nON
WHEREAS, The Vity of Port Angeles is the owner of the following described real property,
having acquired the same by Treasurer's deed dated August 23, 1937, under and by virtue
of the authority of Section 9393 of Remington's Revised Statutes, ~hapter 143 of the
Laws of 1929, Page 365, to-wit:
Lot Thirteen (13l, Block One Hundred $eventy-six (176) of the Government
Townsite of Port Angeles, Washington, and
ViliEREAS, Anna ". Harthill, has offered to purchase the above described real property
frDm the ~ity Qf Port Angeles, for the sum of ~225.00, and
WHEREAS, The amount offered for the above described real property, is in excess of the
amount paid by the said ~ity for said property, plus all L.I.D. assessments including
all interest and other charges against the same, and
VlHEREAS,' The ~i ty Gommission has viewed the said property and is of the opinion tha t
the offer is fair value.
NO'II, 'i'HEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That said offer be accepted and that the "ity 9f Port
Angeles sell the said property at private sale to the said Anna C. Harthill, for the
sum hereinabove set forth, subject to any other vakid liens against the same; that the
City Attorney bc instructed to prepare a ~uit claim deed conveying said property to the
purchaser, and that the vity ~lerk of the vity of Port Angeles be, and he is hereby
instructed to execute said quit claim deed, and that the Mayor of said City be, and he
is hereby instructed to countersign said ~uit claim deed. '
It was moved by Commissioner Henson that the foregoing resolution be adopted. Seconded
by Commis stoner Masters. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the
motion oarried.
Under the head of Unfinished Business,-
Bids on file for the alteration of the folice Department office were opened, the bids
being as follows:

The ~id af William aorsegner being the lowest arid best bid, it was moved by Commissioner
Masters that the bid be accepted and the contract awarded to ~illiam aorsegner. Seconded
by Commissioner HensDn. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the
motion carried.
The Commission examined and allowed the following claims and ordered warrants drawn for _
same;
