The Commission met in regular session at 10 A.M. and was called to order by Mayor Beetle. Roll call
showed the following officers present: Mayor Beetle, Commissioners Beam and Lind, Attorney Conniff and
Clerk Hawkins.
The minutes of the previous session were read and approved.
Under the head of Applications for Building Permits the following were granted:
W. Edwin Benedict, Build House, Lot 15, Block2, Subd. of Sub. Lot 17
C. M. Buchanan, Build Garage, Lot 17, Block 102, Townsite
E. W. Johnson, Build Garage, Lot 17, Block 258, Townsite

Under the head of New Business:
Theodore Berden, having assigned his interest in Lot 2, Block 132 of Thomas W. Carter's Subd. of Sub. Lots
11 and 16, Port Angeles Townsite, to Edward Hagan, requested in writing that when the contract of sale is
completed, the deed be issued to the said Edward Hagan.
The sale of the above described property was authorized by resolution dated February 18,1942, and
recorded in Vol. 20, page 381 of Commissioners' Proceedings. There being no objections, the City Clerk
was instructed to issue the deed to said property when all the terms of the sale are completed, to Edward
Hagen.
Under the head of Introduction of Resolutions the following resolutions were introduced:
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The City of Port Angeles is the o~~er of the following described real property, having acquired
the same by Treasurer's Deed, dated March 25, 1942, under and by virtue of the authority of Section 9393
of Remington's Revised Statutes, Chapter 143 of the Laws of 1929, page 365, to-wit:
Lot Nineteen (19), Block One Hundred Twenty-two (122) of the Townsite of
Port Ilmgeles, Washington, and
WHEREAS, Dan B. Provo has offered to purchase the above described real property from the City of Port
Angeles for the sum of $150.00, and
WHEREAS, The City Commission has viewed the said property and is of the opuuon that the offer is fair
value and that at this time it is the best interest of the City that it should be accepted and the sale
made.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that said offer be accepted and that the City of Port Angeles sell the
said property at private sale to the said Dan B. Provo for the sum hereinabove set forth, subject to any
other valid liens against the same; that the City I<ttorney be instructed to prepare a quit claim deed
conveying said property to the purchaser, and that the City Clerk of the City of Port Angeles be and he
is hereby instructed to execute said quit claim deeg, and that the Mayor of the City of Port Angeles be
and he is hereby instructed to countersign said quit claim deed when the purchase price and ~ll accrued
interest thereon has been paid in full.
It was moved by Commissioner Beam that the foregoing resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded by
Commissioner Lind. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.

Under the head of Introduction of Ordinances the following ordinance was introduced, read in full and
placed on its first and second readings:
AN ORDINANCE setting forth an emergency affecting the public health and safety; requiring expenditures
seen; providing for the issuance of emergency warrants; declaring an emergency making the ordinance
immediately effective.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The City of Port Angeles is the owner of the following described real property, having acquired
the same by Treasurer's Deed dated February 7, 1941, under and by virtue of the authority of Section 9393,
Chapter 143, of the Laws of 1929, page 365, to-wit:
Lots Three (3) and Four (4), Block Four Hundred Thirty-one (431) of the
Townsite of Port Angeles, WashiT~ton, and
WHEREAS, A. H. M.atthews, Jr. has offered to purchase the
Port AngeleS for the sum of $132.38, payable as follows:
the 25th day of April, 1942, and $10.00 on or before the
paid in full, together with interest on monthly balances
monthly installments, and
above described real property from the City of

other valid liens against the same; That the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a quit claim deed con-
veying said property to the purchaser, and that the City Clerk of the City of Port Angeles be and he is
hereby instructed to execute said quit claim deed, and that the Mayor of the City of Port Angeles be and
he is hereby instructed to countersign said quit claim deed when the purchase price and all accrued .
interest thereon has been paid in full.
It was moved by Commissioner Beam that the foregoing resolution be accepted and adopted. Seconded by
Connnissioner Lind. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.
There being no further business the 6onrnission then adjourned.
