Roll Call of Officers showed the fo11o"nng present: hI.ayor Epperson, Commissioners Steele and Johnson, Attorney Wilson and Clerk Law. The Minutes of the previous session were read and approved. Under the head of Applications for Building Pemits and Licenses, the following were granted: BUILDING PERUITS: Wm. Gorsegner Build Auto Sales building on Lot 10 - w-!i, Block 19, N. R. Smith Subdivision Build Auto Sales Store on Lot 12, Block 18, N. R. Smith Subdi vision Remodel Service Station and put in Urease Hack on Lots 1-2, Blo ck 168 of the Townsite Woodhsed and garage, Lot 9, Block 95 of the Townsite Build garage on Lot 6, Block 202 of the ToYffisite Repair and remodel house on Lot 9, Block 1<:0 of the Townsite Moving house from Lot 10, Block 74 to Lot 9, Block 74, Townsite Move garage from 113 E. 2nd to Lot 13, Block 31 of N. R. Smith Subdivision Build 10 cottage Auto Court on Lots 5-6-7-8-9-10, Block 1 of. Westphal Addition Remodel dwelling on Lot 13, Block 167 of the Townsite Construct a barn on Sub. I,ot B3 of the Townsite Construct 4-room dwelling and drive-in Lot 18, Block 20 of N. R. Smith Suodivision Move house, 5 rooms, from 6th and Lincoln to Lot 16, Block 289, of the Townsite Move store building to 805 E. First, Lot 10, Blook 23 of N. H. It was moved by Commissioner Steele that time limit and removal date be set for January 1, 1947; seconded by Commissioner Johnson. On Roll Call all voted "Aye"; motion carried. Under the head of New Business: A petition signed by property owners requesting the opening of Georgiana Street from llace to Chambers Streets came before the Commission and was ordered filed with the Engineers Department, with no action taken at the present time. 1hn. Duckett appeared before the Commission req1'esting permission to construot concrete slab at 14th and "0" Streets for hog feeding purposes. The Commission decided to consult the Sanitary Depart;;)ent before making decision. At this time the matter regarding parking meters was discussed by the Commission. It appeared that several, companies would instal meters on trial , for a period of six months ~~th no cost to the City, and if not satisfactory at the end of trial period would remove. It was understood the City would get fifty per cent of .the revenue derived after the first month of installation. It was moved by Corrrnissioner Steele that meters be installed on trial basis of six months, revenue to be used for traffic regulstions; seconded by Conunissioner Johnson. All voted llAyell; motion carred. Orilla R. Draper, havine sold her interest in "Rose's Place" to Kenneth W. and Ernest S. Lindell, requested: in writing that her Amusement Maohine License NO.9, Restaurant No. 5530 and Soft Drink No. 5531, be trans-, ferred to the new owners. There being no objections, Commissioner Steele moved that the transfer be granted; seconded by Commissioner Johnson. All voted "Aye"; motion carried. Under the head of Reading and Passage of Ordinanoes, the following were presented to the Commission for first and second readine: ORDINANCE 1161 AN ORDINANCE vacating the plat of Virginia Park and Terrace, an addition to the City of Port Angeles. ORDINANCE 1162 AN ORDINANCE relating to dogs and other animals; providing for a city pound master; prescribing his duties, fixing penalties, repeahne Ordinance No. 818 am Sec. 4 of Ordinance No:. 673, and declsring an emergency. It was moved by Commissioner Johnson that the foregoing two Ordinances be approved and passed first and second reading. Seconded by Commissioner Steele.
