II The Commission met in regular session at 10:00 a .m. and was called to order by Mayor Epperson. Roll Call
of Officers showed the fo11o"nng present: hI.ayor Epperson, Commissioners Steele and Johnson, Attorney
Wilson and Clerk Law.
The Minutes of the previous session were read and approved.
Under the head of Applications for Building Pemits and Licenses, the following were granted:
BUILDING PERUITS:

The condemnation of buildings at 115 East Front Street and 209, 211 and 213 North Laurel Street came
before the Commission. It was moved by Commissioner Steele that time limit and removal date be set for
January 1, 1947; seconded by Commissioner Johnson. On Roll Call all voted "Aye"; motion carried.
Under the head of New Business:
A petition signed by property owners requesting the opening of Georgiana Street from llace to Chambers
Streets came before the Commission and was ordered filed with the Engineers Department, with no action
taken at the present time.
1hn. Duckett appeared before the Commission req1'esting permission to construot concrete slab at 14th and
"0" Streets for hog feeding purposes. The Commission decided to consult the Sanitary Depart;;)ent before
making decision.
At this time the matter regarding parking meters was discussed by the Commission. It appeared that several,
companies would instal meters on trial , for a period of six months ~~th no cost to the City, and if not
satisfactory at the end of trial period would remove. It was understood the City would get fifty per cent
of .the revenue derived after the first month of installation. It was moved by Corrrnissioner Steele that
meters be installed on trial basis of six months, revenue to be used for traffic regulstions; seconded by
Conunissioner Johnson. All voted llAyell; motion carred.
Orilla R. Draper, havine sold her interest in "Rose's Place" to Kenneth W. and Ernest S. Lindell, requested:
in writing that her Amusement Maohine License NO.9, Restaurant No. 5530 and Soft Drink No. 5531, be trans-,
ferred to the new owners. There being no objections, Commissioner Steele moved that the transfer be
granted; seconded by Commissioner Johnson. All voted "Aye"; motion carried.
Under the head of Reading and Passage of Ordinanoes, the following were presented to the Commission for
first and second readine:
ORDINANCE 1161
AN ORDINANCE vacating the plat of Virginia Park and Terrace, an addition to the City of Port Angeles.
ORDINANCE 1162
AN ORDINANCE relating to dogs and other animals; providing for a city pound master; prescribing his
duties, fixing penalties, repeahne Ordinance No. 818 am Sec. 4 of Ordinance No:. 673, and declsring an
emergency.
It was moved by Commissioner Johnson that the foregoing two Ordinances be approved and passed first and
second reading. Seconded by Commissioner Steele. All voted UAye"; rnotion- carried. . .

by Mayor Epperson. All voted "Aye"; motion carried.
