The Commission met in regular session at .LU A.M., and was called to order by Hayor Robinson. Roll call
showed the following Officers present, Mayor Robinson, Commissioners Beam & Masters, Attorney Johnston,
and Clerk Hawkins.
The minutes of the previous session were read and approved.
l Under the head of applications for building permits, the following were granted:

II Under the head of New Business: It appearing that City Street FUnd Warrant No. 5875, for $14.67 issued I
' July 19, 1944, to the Standard Oil Company of California, has been lost and cannot De produced by the said
, Company and it further appearing that the said Company has made application to have a duplicate warrant I
I issued in liew of said lost City Street FUnd Warrant No. 5875, and has filed a good and sufficient bond dulJ;
approved by the City Attorney to protect the City from loss on account of issuing the said duplicate Warrant,'
The Commission therefore, approved the bond and instructed the City Clerk to issue a duplicate in the sum 'I
of $14.67, to theStandard Oil Company of California in liew of City Street FUnd 'Narrant No. 5875. I
'I' An Agreement relating to care & maintenance of certain Cemetery Lots: !
In consideration of WALTER AKELEY .POST NO. 29, AMERICAN LEGION DEPARTMENT OF WASHINGTON having deeded to the
. CITY OF PORT ANGELES, WASHINGTON, the following desoribed blocks in OCEAN VIEW CEMETERY:

Blocks A,B,C, and Sixteen to Twenty-one inclusive, Twenty-six to
Thirty-two inclusive, Forty-four to Fifty inclusive, of Burial
Blocks in Duvision I of Ocean View Cemetllrytin Port Angeles,
Washington,
, the said City of Port Angeles agrees to perform maintenance service as hrerinafter stated on the following ,
I' described Cemetery blocks in said Cemetery, still owned by Walter Akeley Post No. 29, of illhe American Legion:
Blocks Thirty-three and Thirty-four, Forty-two and Forty-three, and Fifth-one and
Fifty-two.
Said City of Port Angeles agrees, as to the unoccupied portion of ssid blocks, to render su",'" care and
maintenance as it does to the unoccupied portions of the blocks belonging to said City.

It was moved by Commissioner !lasters that the Mayor and City Clerk be instructed to execute the foregoing
I agreement on behalf of the City of Port Angeles. Seconded by Commissioner Beam. On roll c~ll all members
I voted Aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.

RESOLUTION
IIVffiEREAS, The City of Port Angeles is the owner of the following described real property, having acquired
same by Treasurer's deed dated August 21, 1941, under and by virtue of the authority of Section 9393 of
Remington's Revised Statutes, Chapter 143 of the Laws of 1929, page 365, to-wit:

Lots Ten (10), Eleven (11), and TWelve (12), Block One (1), of the
Subdivision of Suburban Lot Seventeen (17), in the City of Port
Angeles, W"ashington, arrl
WHEREAS, Peter C. Larsen has offered to purchase the above described real property from the City of Port II
Angeles for the sum of $500.00, payable ss follows: $50.00 as a dOVln payment and $20.00 on Or before the.
20th day of April, 1945, and $20.00 on or before the 20th day of each and every month thereafter until paid"
in full, together with interest computed on the belance due at the rate of 7% per annum and paid with the i

WHEREAS, The City Commission has viewed the said property and is of the op~mon that the offer is fair value
, and is in excess of the amount paid by the City for the said property, plus all L.LD. assessments, II
, including interest and other charges against the same. I
I NOW: THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the said offer be accepted and that the City of Port Angeles sell the I
said Peter C. Larsen for the sum hereinabove set forth, subject to any otner valid liens against the same; I,
that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a quit claim deed conveying said property to the purchaser, j
and that the City Clerk of the City of Port Angeles be and he is hereby instructed to execute said quit I
cl<!im deed, and tha t the Mayor of the City of Port Angeles be and he is hereby instructed to countersign
said quit claim deed when the purchase price and all accrued ir.terest thereon has been paid in full.

Townsite of Port Angeles, Washington, and
WHEREAS, J. A. Ollsen, Jr., has offered to purchase fron the City of Port Angeles the above described real
property fro the sum of $150.00, payable as follows: $15.00 as a down payment and $10.00 on or before the f
first day of May, 1945, and $10.00 on or before the first day of each and every month thereafter until paid
in full, together with interest on monthly balances at the rate of 7% per annum, and,
WHEREAS, The City Commissioners heve viewed the said property and are of the opinion that the offer is fair
value and is in excess of the amount paid by the city for said property, plus all L. 1. D. Assessments,
including interest and other charges against the same.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, th~t said offer be accepted and that the City of Port Angeles sell the said i
property at private sale to the said J. A. Ollsen, Jr. for the sum hereinabove set forth, subject to any ,
other valid liens against same; that the City Attorney be instructed to preRare a quit claim deed conveying
said property to the purchaser, and that the City Clerk of the City of Port Angeles be and he is hereby ,
instructed to execute said quit claim deed, and thet the Mayor of the City of Port Angeles be and Msis I

on has been paid in full.
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The City of Port Angeles is the owner of the Following described real property, having acquired the
same by Treasurer's deed dated March 21st, 1945, under and by virtue of the authority of Section 9595 of
Remington's Revised Statutes, Chapter 143 of the Laws of 1929, page 565, to-wit:
West one-half (wt) of Tax No. 507 in Buburban Lot ten (10), Townsite of Port
Angeles. Tax No. 507 more particularly described as follows: (Beginning at
a point distant 35 feet North and 500 feet in an Easterly dfu~ction from the
South-west corner of Suburban Lot 10, in the Townsite of Port Angeles, said
point being on the North line of Second Street, in said Townsite, thence
Easterly and along said north line of Second Street 150 feet to a point on
the West side of Ennis Street produced through said Suburban. Lot 10, thence
northerly along the West side of Ennis Street produced a distance of 140 feet
to an alley, thence at right angles Westerly along the South line of said
alley a distance of 150 feet, thence at right al1'5les 140 feet to point of
beginning. ) , and
:ill'HEREAS, Everett M. Carlson has offered to purch~se the above described real property :from the City of Port i

'iWHEREAS, The City Conunission has viewed the said property and is of the opinion that the offer is fair value'

including interest and other charges against the same.
,NOli, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the said offer be accepted and tha t the City of Port Angeles sell the
said property at private sale to the said Everett M. Carlson for the sum hereinabove set forth, subject to
any other valid liens against the same; that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a quit claim deed
conveying said property to the purchaser, and that the City Clerk of the Ci4r of Port Angeles be and he is
hereby instructed to execute said quit claim deed, and thet the Mayor of the City of Port Angeles be and he ,
is hereby instructed to countersign said quit claim deed. ;1

It was moved by Commissioner Beam that the foregoing Resolutions be approved and adopted. Seconded by ,
Commissioner Masters. Roll call revealed all members voted Aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.
