The Cl9mmissien-met in regular session at 10:00 A. M., and-was called to order by Mayor Feeley. Officers
present were: Mayer Feeley, Cemmissieners Robinson and Taylor, Attorney Trumbull, and Clerk Law.
Minutes of the previous session were read and approved.
Under the head of applicatiens for building permits, the tGllowing were granted:

Under the head of unfinished business, the hearing tor vacation of "M" Street, fram Eighteenth Street to
Lauridsen Boulevard was opened. There having been no objections made or tiled, it was moved by Commissioner
Robinson that the hearing be closed and the Attorney instructed to prepare an Ordinance vacating the same. I
Seconded by Commissioner TaylGr. All voted Aye. Motion carried.
Fred Strange and E. A. Stewart, members of the Planning Board, again appeared requesting that the Engineer-
ing Department get started on preliminary survey for arterial improvements, and prepare maps and details so
the new Regime can call for bids and accomplish some impnvements this season. Mr. Strange informed that
the Council members are in favor and Ivor Smith ccmfirmed the same. Commissioner Taylor advised that the
Engineer is instructed t. immediately 'take steps to prepare preliminary plans and requested permission te
use extra space in rooms now occupied by the r. M. C. A.
Under the head of new business,-the report of Police Judge Reynolds for the month Of March, in amount of
$1726.00 fines collected, was approved and ordered filed.
The Beaver P. T. A. requested in writing that the Commission do al1-.in their power to convert the Old Fire
Hall into a Youth's Service Center. The Commission ordered the letter filed.
Light Supt. McLennan informed that the Shell Oil Jobber is interested in purchase of -the diesel fuel tank
at Secend and Valley Streets. The Commission instructed that other Oil.Companies be consulted regarding
price te be queted.
