Roll oall showed the following offioers present: Mayor Vavis, Oommissioner Lutz, Attorney Conniff and Clerk Hawkins. The minutes of the previous session were read and approved. Under the head of Applioations for Building Permits the following were granted: Wm. Gorsegnor, Building residence, Lot 15, Blk. 387, Townsite ~m. Gorsegnor, Remodel building, Lot 8, Blk. 31, N. R. Smith's Sub. Vim. Gorsegnor, Remod el dwelling, Lot 2, Blk. 206, "Townsi te Harry Christman, Build two porches on home, rrt Lot 3 & Et Lot 4, Blk. 25, N. R. Smith's Sub. Carl DeBarros, Remodel building, Lot 1, Blk. 1, Tidelands ~ast Pine Hill Service Station, Addition to building, Lot 1, Blk. 263, Townsite R. V. Rigg, Alteration of Apartments, Lot 20, Blk. 257, Townsite 2,000.00 1,000.00 250.00 100.00 200.00 50.00 150.00 Under the head of Introduction of Resolutions the following Resolution was':> 75",00 introduced: RESOLUTION DESIGNATING TAXI STAND ~IHEREAS, ,I. A. !1ullivan has made applieation in writing for a portion of the street area in front ot the Harrington & Giles Building at the corner of Front & Laurel Streets, to be used as a taxi stand, and rmEREAS, the owner of the building and the cigar store looated in said building, having oonsented in writing to the setting apart of certain portions of the street area abut- ting the said property as a taxi s tam. THEREFOR:!:, BE IT RESOLVED, that the following area is hereby set apart and fixed as a taxi stand for :/. A. Jullivan; Twenty feet along the curb south from a point fifteen feet south of the southwest oorner of Front and Laurel Streets. Suoh space is named for a taxi stand reservation for one taxi oab of \7. A. Sulltvan. It was moved by Mayor Davis that the foregoing Resolution be approved and adopted. Seconded by Commissioner Lutz. On roll oall all members voted aye. The fuayor declared the motion carried. Under the head of Applioations for Licenses the following Taxi License Vias granted; subjeot to the approval of the Publio Liability and Property Damage Polioy covering said Taxi: \'I. A. Sullivan, 1 Taxi Cab 5.00 Under the head of New Business,- G. A. Wolverton reported at a regular meeting of the Port Angeles Fire Department, Riohard Fernandes and Al Sparling were elected into membership of the department. There being no objeotion, the Commission approved and oonfirmed the eleotion of' the above named members, subject to an examination by the Fire Department Physioian.
