Roll call showed the following officers present: Mayor Beetle, Conmissioners Beam and Linc;\:, Attorney Conniff and Clerk Hawki ns . 'J.ne minutes of t he previous session were read and approved. Under the head of Applications for Building Permits and Li censes, the following were granted: Donald H. Fee, Build Addition to House, Lots 35 and 36, Block 65, P.S.C.C. Subd. of Sub. Lot 23 R. jJ. Bailey, Builc House, Lots 10 and 11, Block 342, townsite M. Salem, Peddler I s License, 1 day, April 16, 1941 Dickies Tavern, 2 Amusement Machines 400.00 4500 .00 10.00 12.00 Under the head of Introduction of Ordinances the following ordinance was introduced, read in full and placed on its first and second readings: I AN ORDINANCE vacating certain portions of Caroline Street in the City of Port Angeles, described as follows, to-wit: That portion of Caroline Street bounded on the South qy Block Thirty-five (35) of Norman R. Smith's Subdivision of the Townsite of Port Angeles, on the East by the East line of said Block Thirty-five (35) of Norman R. ~mith's Subdivision, extended, and on the North and West by Victoria Street. The following ordinance was introduced, read in full and placed on its first reading: AN ORDINANCE for the protection of public health in the ~ity of Port Angeles; regulating the business of slaughtering livestock, and the preparation, sale and handling of meat and meat products intended for human consumption; providing for the inspection of same, and providing a penalty for the violation thereof.
