Proceedings of the City Commission of the City of Port Angeles, Washington

The Commission met in regular session at 10 A.M. and yas calleo to order by MaY9r
Davis. Roll oall showed the following offioers present: Mayor Davis, Commissioners
Lutz and Masters, Attorney Conniff and Clerk Hawkins.
The minutes of the previous session were read and approved.
Under the head of Applications for Building Permits the following were granted:

Under the head of New Business,-
A petition a~king that the alley-way through Block ,449, Townsite, be vacated, was
presented to the ~ommission, and it appearing that the ~ity is the owner of Lots 16 to
20 of said Block 449, and it further appearing that there was no objeotion or reason
why said alley-way should not be vaoated. It was therefore moved by Commissioner
Masters that the Mayor and ~ity Clerk be instructed to sign said petition on behalf of
the City. Seconded by Commissioner Lutz. On roll call all members voted aye. The Mayor
declared the motion carried.
Under the head of '(eports of Officers, the following was read:

To the Honorable Mayor and vity Commissioners,
Gen tlemen;
As reCluired by law each year, I hereby designate the depositories for the year 1936,
for the City's moneys, as follows: The First National Bank of Port Angeles, Washington,
and The Ch emical Bank & Trust Company of New York City, Ii. Y.

It was moved by Commissioner Lutz that the City Treasurer's action appointing the
foregoing banks as depositories for the City's moneys be approved. Seconded by ),ayor
Davis. On roll call all members vuted aye. The Mayor declared the motion carried.
Under the head of Introduction of Resolutions the following Resolution wac read:

AUTHORIZING TRANSFER OF ONE~HALF INTEREST
IN CERTAIN LIr..HT DSPARTI,rENT POLES AND AN-
CHORS, COR:lECTINr.. ERROR IN AGRE'J].iENT OF
JULY 3, 1935
WHEREAS, The 0uperintendent of Utilities having presented to the Commission an approved
supplimental agreement with the Pacific Telephone and Lolegraph Company for the joint
user of one (1) 35-Round Gedar Pole and seven (7) 40-f60t Round Cedar Poles, together
with anchors and guys, more particularly described as l!ity Light lJepadment poles,
numbered 261-D. 26l-C, 260-1, 260-H, Z60-G, 260-F, 260-E and 259-E, located on thJ south
side of the alley between 8th and 9th Streets, from Tumwater to "E" Streets, as shown on the
the blue print dr,.\wing, marked "Exhibit B", and attached to the said supplimental agree-
ment, and,
~~EREAS, The above supplimental agreement is entered into for the purpose of correcting
an error in omitting pole 260-1 in that certain agreement made and entered into July 3,
1935, which should have be"n included, together ,lith the other poles described therein, am, .
IffiEREAS, It appearing that the said supplimental agreement was in proper form and that
the execution thereof is desirable and for the best interest of the vity.
NOTI, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the supp;imental agreement be approved and the
Mayor and ~ity Clerk be authorized to exeeute the same in duplicate on behalf of the
City of Port Angeles.
It was moved by Mayor lJavis that the foregoing resolution be approved and adopted.
Seconded by Commissioner Lutz. On roll call all members voted aye. the Mayor declared
the motion carried.
The Commission examined and allowed the following claims and ordered warrants
